Such an unexpected gem in downtown Joliet. Food, service, atmosphere and drinks were outstanding. Live singer was fabulous. Prices comparable to any other steakhouse. Highly recommend.

Overpriced Texas Roadhouse! Should’ve went to Gibsons and had quality food. Will never be back, that’s a promise!

Our waiter was great. No complaints about service, drinks or salads. My $75 “chef’s special” was not great. My 10oz filet & lobster tail with roasted red potatoes left me speechless and not in a good way. While the steak temperature and quality was fine, the flavor was lacking (almost non existent) and the lobster tail that was teetering on top was overcooked & the size of two large shrimp. My roasted red potatoes were burnt and had a couple cut pieces of carrots teetering on top of them. This side was arranged in a circle around the steak looking like a toddler played with my food before serving it. My husband tried the 30 day aged boneless ribeye and his meal included red potatoes as well. While he enjoyed his unburnt potatoes, he asked for his steak to be rare, but it was on the medium side, not “bleeding” at all. Overall, we were disappointed at the lack of care and flavors put into our steak entrees, especially since the name of the restaurant has the word Chophouse in it… It would seem to me there is a cook in the kitchen and not a chef. Unfortunately that has left us extremely disappointed in our first and last experience and wonder how they have so many wonderful 4.5-5 star reviews when our food was no where near 5 star worthy.I didn’t take pictures because I really thought I would be happy with my overpriced chophouse meal.

They have dress code (we’re not made aware) after making a reservation we were asked to leave. Pretty rude to turn away paying patrons based on their choice of clothing (hoodies) and color of their skin.

This was our second visit here in less than a few months. It is a gem for downtown Joliet. I would love to see more fine diners like this in the Joliet area. Our waitress was so attentive and nice. I love the music which is just at the right level where you can have a conversation without screaming. A very nice place where you can sit and relax with family and friends while enjoying great food and fine spirits.

We dined here last night before a show at the Rialto. There were 4 of us. We have dined here multiple times since it has opened before and even for a recent wedding anniversary. Last night we waited for approximately 10-15mins before are sever came. After that between ordering beverages, supper. etc. there were multiple long periods of time where our server was non-existent. When we finally got the bill, we noticed there was an automatic 20% tip charged added to the bill. We aways over tip our servers in cash but this time we were not going to do that but had no choice. We were informed that it was a recent decision to add the gratuity on "show nights" at the Rialto to "move things along." We think this is wrong and now our "go to" option for dinner before a show will not be the same. This is not a way to bring people back to the downtown area of the city we love. Cut 158 was a gem that now is tarnished.

Perfect date night. Food was amazing. Our server Kayla was very attentive. This was our first visit. We will be back. Husband had surf and turf. I had the 30 day aged ribeye. Both meals were great. Love having this place so close to home.

We had a delightful dinner & dining experience at Cut 158. Our server Vickie was gracious, fun, informative & attentive to our needs. The salads are large, but you can order a half salad. Everything we ordered was a treat. We were celebrating our son & daughter-in-law's 24th anniversary, and we were hoping for a special evening. We would highly recommend Cut 158 if you don't mind spending a few extra dollars. Our only complaint is the music was a bit loud.

The good: steaks were excellent The bad: seated by serving door=loud No TP in restroom- eeeek! Cream for coffee was curdled- yuck! Wine though it was requested was not delivered with the meal Servers kept trying to take dishes & glasses away before finished- I dislike that! -again the food was excellent just very expensive for the poor experience

This was a 2nd visit for 4 of us, this time I brought 4 more friends. ALL of them loved it! We ordered several salads and desserts to share. All a 10! And all the entrees, quite a variety were excellent. One of my attending guests is a head chef for Marriott and he can be a stickler but he savored every item. Thank you agn for a gracious evening.
