The waitress did mention that the menu prices weren't updated; everything had gone up two or three dollars. I haven't had any problems when I go to the restaurant; the staff is friendly, and the food is ready quickly.

My dinner was supposed to be $20.99 I ended up paying $27.99 just for my meal. I talked to waitress and she explained to me that the prices on menu are outdated. I will not be returning.

I love this place. My favorite thing to get is their shrimp empanadas. The portions are big and definitely worth the drive for me. By far the best shrimp empanadas in the area. As a heads up there is not a lot of parking so you’ll have to park in the street of the neighborhood.

Severe Illness Following Huauchinango Frito - Be Cautious
I recently visited El Huichol de Don Memo and ordered the Huauchinango frito (Red Snapper). Unfortunately, my experience following this meal was extremely negative and concerning.
Sometime after eating the fish, I became severely ill with symptoms including violent vomiting, diarrhea, and intense body aches that completely incapacitated me. It was a horrible experience that required significant recovery time.
Based on the timing and the nature of the symptoms, I strongly suspect that I suffered a severe case of food poisoning directly linked to the Huauchinango I consumed at this restaurant.
While I cannot be 100% certain without medical confirmation, the severity of my illness following this specific meal leads me to believe the food may have been contaminated. This experience was not just unpleasant; it felt dangerous.
Due to this severe negative health outcome, I cannot recommend this restaurant, particularly the fish dishes. Future patrons should exercise extreme caution. My visit resulted in a truly awful aftermath that overshadowed any other aspect of the dining experience.
