Our first time here and it was superb! The moment you walk in the smell is amazing! Sophia the hostess was friendly and answered all of our questions. Nickolas was our server and did an excellent job! I had the Tygania which I was blown away with the flavor, the pork was so tender, and the potatoes flavorful! Definitely a gem right next to the Rialto Theater, must try!

Authentic Greek cuisine. Enjoyed everything from the complimentary Ouzo to the grilled seafood appetizer. About as close to real Greek cuisine as you can get - and I know...I have been to Greece 6 or 7 times. For an elevated night out, you need to try. Great date night location. Spread the word! Celebrated my sister’s birthday for dinner with our family. Sophia made amazing drinks, Nick was a fantastic waiter, and the chef and staff made our whole night very special! The food was like your could close your eyes and you were in Greece! Fantastikos!!
The food was awesome! It is about time Joliet has an authentic upscale Greek restaurant!

Went for dinner last night very welcoming place I was eating alone because I travel. I sat at the bar the bartender was beyond amazing I believe her name was Jess. Her recommendations exceeded expectations I got the grilled octopus appetizer and for my course I got the gyro platter with lamb and Greek fries very flavorful and delicious. It was a lot of food for the price and I wasn’t able to finish all of it. Then I tried the cocktail “hades” I ended up having two it was a very well rounded drink. The restaurant was very beautiful on the inside would definitely recommend if you’re in the area to try this place out especially if you have a date. The place has a warm romantic ambiance to it. If I’m around the area again I definitely will be back.

We had a group of 10 on Saturday night. We all sampled different foods and drinks. Everyone was more than pleased! The architecture is incredible, pulling pieces from historic Joliet buildings and incorporating them in the decor. Wait staff was attentive.

I liked the food but I felt rushed from the minute we got there! I was hoping for a nice relaxing meal but we were kinda rushed the whole time, like hurry up and eat then get out. The saganaki was good but they don't flame it at the table and give you that cool experience, kinda disappointed

Wow! I feel like I need a "call to arms (table?)" or a mobilization of the local dining community. Mousa Greek Tavern is absolutely unprecedented in Joliet...which is EXACTLY why it won't survive without more fellow foodies finding it and enjoying it. Joliet is not exactly a fine food destination city. Mousa Greek Tavern is a reason to actually come to Joliet...unless you just live here like we do. This place is amazing! I have been to plenty of Greek restaurants in my time...you know the kinds of places...2000 things on the menu, quick service, solid food but nothing special. Mousa Greek Tavern serves special food! Not only is the food great but the ambiance is much more indicative of what you would expect for fine dining. I just cannot say enough about them! But, based upon what some of the staff was telling us, you better get there soon because they have been there for a year and business is not great. It is because this is sadly NOT what you would expect for Joliet, especially not downtown. Do yourself, and the city, a favor and try Mousa Greek Tavern. We are already planning our nexts visit. So now there is at least one reason that is not jury duty to actually go downtown!
Wanted to stay close to home looked in OpenTable and search for Greek. Call town Joliet near the Rialto, theater historic quaint building once was a bank. The server was very personable and attentive.  Traditional Greek menu, saganaki Greek meatballs with Taziki sauce lamb chops were amazing. The cocktails were made with perfection. After dinner we sit at the bar for one more. We'll be back!!!

first time there for dinner last night. The place is cute and intimate, the trio of dips was fun, and the beef kabobs were delicious. Our old fashion and Manhattan were perfect. We will be back and I recommend this place to anyone. Sophia took care of us at the bar and was very nice. Free parking right across the street. Perfect date night spot.

I visited Mousa last Thurday, March 7, 2024, after a long day of work!I was immediately greeted by the manager Sophia with a huge smile and welcome.I sat at the bar for a glass of wine and appetizers. The bartender immediately came over and introduced herself and recommended a few different cabernet varieties. I ordered a few appetizers that were amazing!If you haven't tried the food at Mousa. I highly recommend that you do!Fantastic experience ?
Mousa is phenomenal. The authentic Greek food is delicious as is the wonderful atmosphere. I have been to the restaurant many times and have always had top notch service and meals. The last time I was there I had a drink with fig vodka in it. That was excellent as well!
