Subdock by far has the best gyros in the city, perhaps in all Chicagoland. However, their fries have gone from bad to worse. They used to be undercooked crinkle-cut, they are now skin-on (generally our favorite) skinny fries drenched in so much oil that you could cook in them! Get the gyros, skip the fries, which may be the worst ever fries in the world!

Don't even deserve a 1.Grew up eating here and never disappoint but new owners fresh garbage. Thought the gyro sauce was mayo and the meat must be a new formula garbage. In place of a refund I feel like throwing it at there window as a warning to stay away... And the fries horrible.. How do you mess up a gyro,in heard of!!!!?

First time going to this spot cause I usually go to babas next door, I paid 12$ for a Italian beef and sausage, they proceeded to tell me they had no sausage after I paid and then said they couldn’t substitute it for anything else so I paid 12 for a little half sized Italian beef that tasted mid, with more peppers than actual meat. First and Last time I come in here. Girl at the register didn’t have any manners and stayed silent the whole interaction. Disappointed, feel like I was finessed. Couldn’t have got better service and food anywhere else. Wouldn’t recommend. Try Babas next door instead!!!

Very good chicken sandwich here at sub dock. Fries are fresh and lemon pepper chicken tenders are so good. The food was fresh. Service was great she recommended these plates. It's a small place but would definitely recommend to go.

So I ordered double cheeseburger. The fries was okay . The burger was amazing , over cooked the meat. And the bottom bread was very very soggy and wet . I couldn't get my dinner. I won't go there again. This place need to be shut down . No good.

I stopped here with my husband in an attempt to try something new. Since we've never eaten here before, we decided to split an Italian beef sandwich and a hamburger. The beef sandwich came with fries but the hamburger didn't, which was strange. First, the customer service was good.... The restaurant was a typical ma and pa establishment. We love to support small businesses so were pretty excited to taste the food. Unfortunately, it was a bit disappointing. On the good side: The fries were crispy and delicious. We really liked them. However, as stated above, If you order a burger, you must order fries as they are sold separately. The burger was bland and just okay and no frills. It would have been nice if the cook seasoned it which would have given it some pizzaz and better flavor. The Italian beef wasn't good at all. The meat was not good. It tasted an old and may have possibly been cooked a day or so before, refrigerated, and then reheated. We were disappointed to say the least.

Absolutely the worst gyro I have ever had! Meat was WAY overcooked. Couldn't even chew it! This was after ordering food from somewhere else and not getting it. I'm going to bed hungry! I did not order gyro jerky, I ordered a gyro sandwich! With extra sauce on the side. They dumped it all right on there, WAY too much. First time and last time eating here!
