Really cute and cozy spot! It is a great location for get together with friends and family. They have toys for the kids to keep them entertained!

I ordered the Cajun shrimp and grits. It came out looking beautiful and the aroma was amazing! The shrimp were cooked perfectly! The grits were cooked well; however, there was no flavor to them. The dish was lacking the Cajun flavor. The only flavor you could taste was butter. I do not think I would order this again.

They have a nice selection of drinks! I tried something new and it was very good!

Happier Now Cafe is such a gem in La Grange Park! The food is always fresh and full of flavor, and the staff couldn’t be friendlier. We’re so lucky to have a spot this good in our small town.

We just happened upon this place as we were looking for gluten free options near Loyola hospital. Well this was a little gem. They have gluten free bread, fries, pasta. Some lovely small plate options, delicious sandwich Order at counter and then they bring to table. I would definitely go back here.

I tried to study here but their hours are incorrect or inconsistent. They were closed at 10:30

We chose this place because of the great reviews, but our experience was very disappointing.

We ordered hot matcha drinks, but received iced matcha instead. Only after that did the cashier/server point to a sign saying the coffee machine wasn’t working - something we were not told at the time of ordering and didn’t notice. Had we known, we would have ordered something else.

My husband ordered steak frites and was never asked about meat temperature. It arrived medium rare and had to be sent back to be cooked more.

We paid upfront and left a 20% tip, yet after these issues we were completely ignored — no check-in, no acknowledgment, and no offer to refund the matcha drink that wasn’t available.

When we asked to speak with a manager, we were told the manager was “not available.” When we explained our frustration, the only response was “I was fairly busy,” even though the café was nearly empty (just us and two other tables).

Mistakes happen, but how they’re handled matters.
Very different from what the reviews suggest.

The food selection is perfect for brunch! I was welcomed by friendly staff and a very positive atmosphere. I sat down and enjoyed the pretzel bites, Cristina, and soda. It's a great place to enjoy friends and family. Truly ideal for children. Their is space specifically for children to eat, sit and play at their own table.

Had a holiday event here tonight, and it is so cute and quaint inside! Tried the ham crostini's (which were probably my fave!), Hummus sandwich, and pretzel bites - Everything was delicious!!! Parking was accessible and I suggest anyone looking for a little private owned cafe to check this place out! I will be returning!

Great atmosphere and looks like a nice spot. Very family friendly and the staff was incredible.

Although I overall enjoyed the experience, the food was not great. I ordered a Caesar salad with brussel sprouts and it was just too much brussel sprouts. They were uncooked and unseasoned so it just felt like I was eating brussel sprouts. And it was a lot of brussel sprouts. My colleagues had another dish thatcontained brussels sprouts that were cooked and they weren't much better though.

Overall, the food dishes were somewhat disappointing for such a lovely spot.

The place was clean though and parking was accessible.

Cute spot & very close to home. Came with my wife, MIL, & grandma-in-law lol. The chili was phenomenal; so flavorful & filling. The turkey sandwich was tasty! I couldn’t eat it all & portions were large, so I took half of it home. Clean & small cafe. Service was friendly & fairly quick. Would happily return.

Awesome spot! We stumbled on this little cafe after a day at the Zoo! The owner is making almost everything from scratch! We had: the turkey sandwich, tuna sandwich, beet sandwich and the schnitzel!
Seriously fantastic!

Everyone I interacted with was helpful and kind. It was a nice space and not crowded on a Sunday afternoon. It felt like a neighborhood place with solo dinners, couples, groups, and families all there comfortably. I really enjoyed my meal (burrata, brussel sprout salad, house pickles, hot tea) and was happy I had a variety of meatless options to choose from on the menu. I definitely would come back.
