Met up with some girlfriends for brunch. Staff was friendly & attentive. Food was good, we ordered the Chilaquiles & a skillet. Atmosphere is a bit crowded, we had a stroller & it was a bit challenging to maneuver around the tables/chairs. On the topic of infants, bathrooms are not kid-friendly; there was no changing table. Will reconsider giving it another try.
Kid-friendliness: Kid-friendly at a certain age. No accommodations for infants.
Wheelchair accessibility: No, there is a step by door.

Love the old fashion diner feeling in here. Service is great. Good variety on the menu. Ordered biscuits and gravy with a side of bacon. B&G was awesome. The gravy sauce was a little different for a change. Very light tasting an a tad bit of sweetness which pairs well. Crispy bacon is a always for any breakfast chaser!

Ordered the eggs breakfast. I was able to split the sausage into one sausage and one bacon, sent the grits back... I don't know what it was but wasn't grits.. maybe malt o meal? Eggs no taste, Bacon good, Sausage tender. Had to eat hash browns instead but they were exceptionally good.. omg. And I hate hash browns 🤎. I might start liking them again since it's so hard to find good grits. 😍Music, atmosphere, waitress even knew people by name.. Drinks too high. $5 glass of orange juice. But overall 👍

Located in the heart of the town, La Grange Breakfast Cafe is a charming culinary gem that transports its patrons to a bygone era with its vintage decor and delightful ambiance. From the first moment, you're enveloped in an atmosphere of nostalgia and warmth, reminiscent of a simpler time. The decor of La Grange Breakfast Cafe is a harmonious blend of rustic charm and quaint elegance, offering glimpses into the past and adding to the restaurant's nostalgic appeal. The front window, where we chose to sit, provides a picturesque view of the bustling street outside, allowing you to soak in the sights and sounds of the neighborhood while enjoying your meal. The Special Bagel Sandwich. My choice of sunny-side up eggs, Swiss cheese, spinach, all topped with Parmesan cheese, is a masterpiece of flavors and textures. As I take my first bite, I'm greeted with the crispiness of the bagel, giving way to the gooey goodness of the sunny-side up eggs and the creamy richness of the Swiss cheese. The spinach adds a refreshing burst of greenery, while the Parmesan cheese on top elevates the dish to new heights with its nutty and savory notes. The cheese on top isn't just mere decoration; it's a crucial element that enhances the overall flavor profile of the sandwich. The interplay of different cheeses creates a symphony of flavors, each complementing the other harmoniously. With every bite, you're treated to a burst of savory goodness that dances on your palate, leaving you craving for more. That was what set this breakfast bagel apart from the rest. La Grange Breakfast Cafe is more than just a restaurant; it's a sanctuary where time stands still, and every meal is a celebration of flavors, memories, and the simple joys of life. If you're craving a taste of the past served with a side of culinary excellence, look no further than La Grange Breakfast Cafe.

The location is good and the atmosphere is nostalgic and classic. It was very warm in the restaurant on the day we went. The waitress was okay, not very friendly but also not mean.
The skillet was good but the sandwich was not great. The sandwich was described as being a “melt” but had no cheese and instead, an overwhelming amount of sour cream. It also was supposed to have sautéed mushrooms, but they were just plain, chopped mushrooms. The fries were pretty good though.
Dietary restrictions: Vegetarian options.
Parking: Free parking lot nearby which sometimes fills quickly.

Great breakfast spot, rebranded under La Grange cafe, but is almost the same exact restaurant as the precursor Cafe Cal Bay. Would take this place a hundred times over Blue Berry Hill the only other real option for a sit down breakfast in downtown Lagrange.
