Our first time here, it was last minute and we chose it based on a picture someone posted of a soup. We were pleasantly surprised to come in on a Sunday afternoon and we were provided with a table in one of their private rooms. We chose several options and when we tasted the soup, it was soo delicious. Everything was great. Can't wait to go back. We even got additional stuff to go.Kid-friendliness: The kids were offered a kiddie cocktail and they got a kick out of it.

I took the kids to La Grange to just walk around. We decided to stopped by for a quick lunch. The kids ordered kid's cotails which I think it's fun for the kids. We ordered some fried rice, stir fry noodles with beef, beef noodle soup and some spicy fried potatoes. Everything were excellent! Service was great, waitress was very attentive. Thank you!

Outstanding! I have never come across a place like this in the suburbs, where the food is every bit on par with the best that Chinatown in the city has to offer, but with fast, efficient service and clean, elegant ambiance.

Have had takeout twice now. Once during the week and once on a Friday. Both times the food was ready for pickup in 15-20 minutes, the food was HOT, and the portions were very generous. The Kung Pao Shrimp and Orange Chicken were excellent. I also ordered the Hawaiian Shrimp. They don’t skimp on the Shrimp. You get a good amount of good sized shrimp. We’ll keep coming back to Shang, for sure.

First time at Shang Noodle & Chinese in La Lgrange. The whole family thought the food was great! Everything was very tasty. Protein in various dishes: beef high quality and very tender; chicken high quality and every piece consisted of whole chunks of breast. Bottom line: we found our go-to local Chinese restaurant.
First time visit. Would definitely visit again. Fast and cordial service. There are larger tables for parties of 6+ and even private rooms for large groups.Soup dumplings: let them cool a bit!Orange chicken: batter was fluffy and caught a lot of sauce. The sauce is was a tomato-based, different but good.Baby bok choy: a favorite. Balanced with garlic and chicken stock.Mapo tofu: choose pork option. Let it cool! Enough spice for flavor but not to feel like a burning mouth
The food is very bland, I had to add salt, pepper, soy sauce, and sweet and sour, to get some flavor in my Mongolian beef. Love shrimp fried rice, super dry, and
