I had lunch at Thipi Thai today. The menu was fabulous - it was difficult to choose! My friend and I shared delicious crab rangoon, vegetable rolls, and pot stickers. I can hardly wait to return and try more dishes!

Pad See Ew was good.

Very romantic hidden restaurant on central and archer across the street from Walgreens. The food is amazing. The bakes have a fresh rose. The staff very friendly and the food very delicious. I had an amazing time on Mother's Day. I had a won ton soup and a soft shell crab not the best work on it because the cook forgot to clean it and it was very fishy taste so it was not fresh but the pad Thai to die for.

I came here with in a party of 5 on a Tuesday evening. On the door there was a sign they were understaffed so we were expecting service to be slow and were okay with that. But that said, there were some other issues that were pretty frustrating. Service was definitely slow, even though I did see waiters around seemingly not doing a ton. When our food did come out, two of the entrees were taken to another table and someone was eating off them. Then they were brought to our table and served and it was only because the party at the other table yelled out to us that we knew not to eat it. The wait staff then took it back to the kitchen and remade it. So half the table had their food and the other half didn't, which was awkward. When the check came, we didn't get a discount or anything for that which was irritating. I also thought things were overpriced given the portion sizes but that's not the end of the world. As far as the food went, it was pretty good. I got the Pad See Ew and it was fine. My sister got the sesame chicken though and it was really odd. It seemed to be slathered in a fruit sauce (maybe mango) so that was unexpected. Overall, I'd say this might be a good place for takeout but don't come in person. I'm not planning on going back.

I have been coming here for years. NEVER AGAIN!! Had to wait one hour for take out that was supposed to be done in thirty minutes then the dish was not made the correct way. Spicy basil noodle is made with PEAS at least that is how I have been getting for years from here. They gave my daughter the dish made with green beans. They said they could remake the correct way but it would be another 45 minutes. My daughter left and I called there about the order and the girl that answered the phone told me I was wrong because she asked the owner and he said it's made with green beans and hung up on me. (Is there a NEW owner?) They will never get another dime from me. Try hiring someone with a little class to run the front desk !!!

This place used to be very good but I will never go back after the terrible food we were served. The shumai was doughy and insipid. The salmon was not fresh. Someone asked if a dish came with fried rice and was assured it did. They got a ball of white rice instead.

Makes me sad but Thipi Thai Is just not what it used to be. Prices are higher but they give very little food portions. We ordered Thai egg rolls and they were very greasy. I ordered the Garlic seafood dish I asked for not too spicy and it was soooo spicy and couldn't taste it. Cause my tongue was on fire; The seafood was 3 shrimp, 4 tiny scallops and a few chewy strings of calamari. My mom ordered Pad Siew and again super spicy when we asked for medium spicy. The service was great. But sorry won't be going back. I moved to AZ and went straight here and was super disappointed. Thipi what changed? Makes me sad.

Food was very good, but appetizers very small portions and overall 3-star. Service was very nice. However, the restaurant ended up charging my credit card more than the authorized (and adequate) tip amount. Thus the 2-star rating and suggestion to look for other restaurants with better value and business practices.

I was very excited to try this Thai place that my partner had been to previously & raved about. When we arrived on Sunday evening we asked for a spot at the bar for two & the girl at the host stand seemed displeased with us not wanting a table & uncomfortably sat us at the bar. Being someone from the service industry myself I felt she was upset she didn't get a table for herself. We then sat at the bar & we're excited to order from the options on the menu. We watched a girl walk behind the bar & watched as we expected us to approach us for an order but didn't & ignored us... it felt as if no one wanted to take us as a "table". After about 20 minutes a girl asked if we wanted water or drinks which we had locked & loaded to order. We proceeded to order our food through random workers with no names (everyone was a different person) as we tried to enjoy our stay. We were the only people at the bar at 6pm on a Sunday evening. The food was great... we expect to come back again, hopefully. But the service was extremely poor. There was multiple times there was multiple girls behind the bar looking at cupcakes (assume there was a party or something earlier that day??) but not helping us. Honestly, very much we felt ignored. I had to stand up & grab our silverware from a nearby table; considering it felt like no one wanted to pay attention or take care of us. We wouldn't have been able to eat our food if I didn't take initiative myself. We very much enjoyed the food we ordered. We left over a 20% tip ( We would never do otherwise; appreciation of the industry ) but very disappointed with the service & lack of genuine conversation of any sort.

The food is SO good--every time! I eat a lot of Thai and the Panang Curry is the absolute best in the entire Chicago Metro area!

Good Thai food. We normally order the satay appetizer, the pad Ke Mau. And the green curry beef. Delicious. Quick delivery. Love it.
