They were very polite kids and when my son accidentally dropped his fries from his kids meal I tried to purchase more and they didn't charge us and just gave them to him! So kind of them I love the food here I miss the horse shoe fries I think is what they were called they were onion and jalapeños lol bring them back please!

I have moved away from Chicago for a long time. Came back a year ago and had Portillos. A week ago Mr. Mikes. Omg was it so delicious and the service was great and friendly. Can't wait to go back. And not have to drive an 1 and a half hours to Chicago.
Quality and portions went way down but they made up for it by doubling and even tripping the price. Just paid $15 for a single cheesy beef and it was small. Been going there for close to 30 years. I won't be back.

We tried Mr mikes for the first time before getting on the river. We both ordered Italian beef sandwiches and fries. Everything came out amazing and it was the most flavorful beef I’ve ever had! Highly recommend.

I’ve been going to Mr. Mikes places since 2019. From 2019-2021 it was amazing. The service was great, the food was great, the whole place was very clean. But since then, from 2022-present, it’s been a lot different. The service has gone downhill, we will call 3-4 times to get through at some points, when we do get food from here, they’re usually out of burgers or gyro meat or chicken strips. Soda fountain is completely out of order and has been for the last 5 months that we’ve come in. The tables have a sticky/greasy feel to them, yes it not supposed to be a 5 star restaurant, it’s just a little place to be able to get a bite to eat while out on the river. But even the food is questionable sometimes, you wonder if it’s going to go right through you or if you’ll break a tooth on the overcooked chicken strips.
