Nice service, Jimmi, I think was his name. Big smile, happy guy, giving us a happy and pleasant experience. Checking in with us.
Food was delicious and no long waiting. Had calamari to start, done so well.
Greek salad with grilled chicken on top of big brick of Feta and the vinaigrette I think homemade. The person I was with had Cesar salad with medium rare steak. Both served in large shallow bowls. *Mine made 2 meals.
Music was good for the restaurant vibe. We both sat booth side to watch the NFL game, Sunday.

We reserved The Annex for my mothers birthday party with about 50 guests. The managers and owner were Exceptionally accommodating. We asked for appetizers before lunch and a limited menu. Jimmy was the main contact on the day of the party and he was incredibly nice, calm and efficient. It must have been a bit frustrating for the staff to handle so many people at once, but they did a great job. The food was OUTSTANDING! To serve 50 meals and have everyone enjoy the service and food is quite a positive testament to this restaurant and the team. I believe everyone would eat there again given the opportunity. I HIGHLY recommend The Annex Restaurant & Lounge.

First time here. Very disappointed. The server was very nice but appeared to be extremely overwhelmed and very slow. The food was just ok at best. We ordered crab cakes as an appetizer and French onion soup, the soup was delicious, the crab cakes were terrible. Then they dropped burnt bread on the table and I new we were in trouble, it looked like 3 year old made it. 3 out of the 4 people were celebrating birthdays and the hostess acknowledged that, but after that nothing, thought our waitress was going to acknowledge this but she was so busy. She literally dropped our drinks and food off and ran to her next table. Very underwhelmed with The Annex and it really put a damper on celebrating the birthdays.

The appetizer size is a excellent idea. They are a perfect size paired with a selected side for a meal. The only mild disappointment was the calamari was more fried batter than actual squid. The entrees we observed on the tables around us looked very good and definitely enough to bring home for another meal. The restaurant itself has a good atmosphere. Smaller, with simple tasteful decor. The service was great and the overall experience was pleasant. Being smaller didn't make the restaurant louder, it was very easy to converse and be heard without competing with tables near ours.

Stopped in to play their slots. Disappointed. Hard to even get a drink from the bar, which was full of people I assume were regulars cause the bartender only paid attention to them. The patrons were snobby to us too. Thought about eating but waitstaff appeared to be way overwhelmed and frazzled. No one even looked at us to assist. Sad. Had higher expectations on neighborhood place.
Took our son there for his birthday. 1st time there and we loved it!! Staff nice, food yummy, drinks very good. Mashed potatoes are the bomb. Salmon perfect. Chicken malinese so yummy as well.
Birthday cakes and flame were so fun and delicious!!! Will go again for sure!! 🙌

We had a great time here, but at the end of the meal when the check came it ruined a bit of the evening. We noticed there was a double charge on our bill for desert. $8 for cake and $4 for carrot cake. The server told my wife that is how it is marked on the menu. (I knew it wasn't) So on our way out I checked and the desert was just $8, as I thought. I mentioned it to the manager who said the menu was misprinted for that item. But when all Deserts range from $4-$8, why is the one desert $12? Im also positive we aren't the first people to mention this. We had a great time and food otherwise, but when the server lies to us and the excuse the manager gave doesn't really fit, it just was off putting. Only $4 so I didnt ask for anything back, just clarity and the response was poor. Really was excited to go back and show friends this place, but after that, it just put a bad taste in my mouth. So not sure.

The food is delicious. We had Steak au poivre, yummy. The short rib taco was outstanding, as good as I ever had in New Mexico. We did the grilled octopus, which was extraordinary just outstanding. The beet salad was just perfect. The drinks were excellent. We had Jim Bean old fashion and every dinner club in Wisconsin is jealous. Our server was fantastic. I would give her service a 5 but she was working all the tables, and doing an excellent job. Seems like 5 to 6 happy hour rush, plus they have some really good daily specials. The Chef has my attention and will be back. Atmosphere is good, store front restaurant with good vibes that have nostalgic reverbs from that 1960s era. I would definitely recommend a stop in!!!

This gem is a diamond in the rough. It is located in a strip mall, which looks pretty ordinary, however ambiance inside looks very upscale, fine dining. The menu was fabulous and what you would expect from an upscale restaurant. The service was exceptional, food was exquisite and prices very reasonable, especially for the quality. Highly recommend!

I see there are many great reviews of this restaurant. Perhaps this was an off night. There was only one server handling the entire restaurant. That is understandable as people call in. It took a long time to get service.
The problem was the food. My sister ordered filet mignon, it was cooked well per her preference but there was no flavor. It was not seasoned at all, very plain and they did not bring sauce. The vegetables were lacking- three pieces of zucchini/squash only. I ordered a cheeseburger and it tasted like rubber. The carrot cake was delicious, brought for my sister‘s birthday. We were disappointed and probably will not return.

We thought we would try what we thought was a new restaurant. Ample parking outside. Very appealing inside and was seated right away. We sat along the wall and our "neighbors" were so close we heard every word they said. I ordered baked onion soup,,,it had a chunk of cheese so big,I used a knife and fork to eat it. Barely into the soup my entree arrived,so I had to choose which one to eat cold. I ordered hamburger of some kind "medium",but there was NO pink in it,but plenty of fries, which were good. We had to ask bus boys for more water. All in all, I chalked it up to an inexperienced staff, but I doubt I will return.
Honest review of our dining experience at The Annex… hugely disappointing☹️.
Atmosphere was depressing
Service bad
Food TERRIBLE
We were so excited to try this restaurant out and it was just so disappointing and expensive for a below average dining experience.
We will not go back!

As always Pete and his staff knocked it out of the park! We had Alex as our server and she was amazing! If you haven't tried this little gem yet you really need to. We need more of these independents in our town. Yum yum yum!!
