El vado#2 Mexican restaurant

love the food, by far one of my favorite mexican restaurants

The place has great atmosphere and the food tastes delicious but they need to work on the service. We took my husband there for Father's Day and they completely forgot his order, then we asked how much longer they said we can wait for them to make it or cancel it. We decided to cancel since most of us were half way thru our meal. There was never an apology for their error. We were constantly looking for our waitress because we needed something and she was no where to be found. Great food but the service was awful.

Love this place. El Vado has great food, amazing specials, tall drinks and is a great value. I forgot to mention how friendly the staff is. They do great birthdays with the hats, singing and shots! Their daily food and drink specials are an amazing value. Definitely try them out.

Though we ate at the bar on a slow Saturday night, service was slow and inattentive. Never got plates for appetizers and had to ask for set-ups, extra napkins, condiments and flag a server down to get the bartender to take a drink order. Food was average.

We recently hosted my child's First Communion reception here using their catering menu, and the experience was fantastic from start to finish. The planning process was seamless, and the staff was incredibly attentive to every detail. As for the food, our guests couldn't stop raving about the authentic flavors and generous portions. Everything was served fresh, hot, and right on time. I cannot recommend them enough!

Surprisingly good food. Seafood mocajate is my favorite. Tacos are great also, even on taco Tuesdays.

Stopped in for lunch, service was good and we liked the atmosphere. Unfortunately we suspect the food was spoiled. Boyfriend ended up getting food poisoning from the steak tacos. My tamale and taco didn’t have much flavor and was dry.

We’ve been going to El Vado #2 in Lake Zurich for a while now and it’s one of those places we can always rely on.

The staff is what keeps us coming back. Rosie, Edgar, and Belen are amazing. They know our boys by name and always greet us so warmly. It really makes a difference and feels personal every time we walk in.

Food is consistently good. We’re big fans of the quesadilla Thursday special and the birria dinner. The margarita special is a favorite.

Truly a solid, welcoming spot we keep coming back to.

Some of the best Mexican food my husband and I have ever had. Loved it so much we ordered twice in a week!

We were there for Monday Burrito special - it was AWESOME !
So we came back with a group of road bike riders for the Taco Tuesday -it was AWESOMER !
So we came back for the Fajitas Friday - it was much more AWESOMENESS
