I ordered a BLT + avocado (without the avocado) from McAlister's Deli in Lake Zurich, and it looked like they just slapped the sandwich together without any care or effort. The bread wasn’t toasted or warm—it looked thin, old, and lifeless. Honestly, I could’ve made a better sandwich at home. The bacon didn’t look appetizing either.
I also ordered The New Yorker, which came cut in half—but one half was missing the bottom slice of bread. How does that even happen?
Very disappointed in the quality and presentation.

Your Ruben was horrible. The corned beef was so thick and rubbery. It actually crunched when you bit into it. Yuck! My husband and I took half of the meat off and just ended up throwing it out the sandwich all together. 34 dollars down the drain. We are done with McAlister’s.

Ordered for curbside pickup, restraint quoted 20 minutes. I arrived and clicked ‘I’m here’ which apparently lets the staff know so they can bring the order out when it’s ready. 35 minutes since the order was placed nobody has brought it out, so I went inside. Staff just stood there, restaurant had 0 customers inside. Staff confirmed my food had been sat for over 10 minutes because they didn’t know it was curbside despite the attached receipt very clearly saying curbside along with the details of my vehicle, plus they have CCTV looking DIRECTLY st the curbside spots. Staff DID NOT offer to remake my now lukewarm food, absolute would not recommend wasting your money here with staff this unprofessional, who knows what else they forget.

I work close by this McAlister’s and frequent here for lunch often, most of the time I just do pick up orders but I decided to eat in yesterday for dinner. In all my time there, Carter has been an excellent employee! He remembers my name, my food is always right and warm, and everyone is always friendly. Carter goes above and beyond and I’d love for him to get some recognition on his hard work and always cheery attitude!

Let’s start with the positives: employees are always super kind, fast, and helpful. The food is pretty standard. However, the store itself is in an abysmal state of disrepair. I waited in line to order on one of the many 90+ degree days we’ve had this year. Within a minute of being in the store I was dripping sweat. Seems to be the only restaurant in the area without AC. Despite the heat, there was also water dripping from the ceiling onto the customers, employees, and food :/ no wonder so many places are short staffed, I couldn’t stand being in that building for 5 minutes let alone 5+ hours.

Delicious food, friendly personal, l like their 2 for deal. They have the best sandwiches, tea, soups, and potatoes. I don't know what they do with their potatoes, but they taste better than those l make at home.
The goob taking the order had no idea what he was doing and the manager was rude. Fire them both.

Food has been good so far and place is fairly clean, my complaint really is that they don't always put the online orders on the online order shelf, so I literally just sat there for about 15 minutes wasting my time trying to be patient instead of bothering them and here it was ready just in the wrong place behind the counter. If they fix this issue I have no problem giving them five stars but until they do I'm leaving it at 3 because I don't appreciate my lunch break being wasted.

Had my first sandwich from here yesterday. I ordered the Reuben, just as it comes in the menu. Fantastic!!! Tons of meat and kraut, simply delicious!! My only complaint was the comical size of the pickle slice they included. It was about 1/4 of the size of my pinky finger. ?

We ordered pick up. 1/2 Sandwich 1/2 Cup of soup. The club was awesome. The chicken tortilla soup was really good. Thick, spicy. Good with crackers. Husband had the broccoli cheddar and said it was really good (I didn’t get a pic). Perfect serving size for a light lunch. We recommend!

I ordered a McAllisters Club, no tomato or spring mix. I’ve had this sandwich an alarming amount of times before ordered the same way every time. They took it upon themselves to remove the 3rd piece of bread making it no longer a CLUB sandwich. Once it was delivered to me by the apparent supervisor - he immediately started defending why they made it that way before I had even said anything. He could tell by my face I was disappointed. I continued to be disappointed throughout my meal as an ate my regular sandwich. Not a great experience overall for me.
