Jj Kelley's is an Irish pub with an American bar menu that pays tribute to navy and marine service members. The atmosphere is warm and authentic, with a mix of clientele who feel comfortable and at ease. The bar offers juicy wings, homemade chips, and a delicious prime rib sandwich. Tuesday is wing night, a must-try. There is a full bar, full dining area, a nice big deck, and slot machines. Daily events are posted for those interested. A wall pays tribute to veterans, adding to the pub’s special charm.
The food is outstanding, with options like the Pork Chop Dinner featuring thick, well-seasoned chops, a baked potato, salad, and steamed vegetables. Service is quick, and the food arrives hot. Prices are fair, ranging from $20 to $30 per head for dinner. Parking is sufficient during early hours, though it may get tight in the evenings. Wheelchair accessibility is easy, with ample space on the first floor and an accessible bathroom.
Jj Kelley's also hosts metal shows with a decent stage and sound production. The beer and spirits selection is solid, and there’s a fair amount of free parking. A cheap hotel next door offers convenience for overnight stays. With its cozy and welcoming environment, delicious food, and nods to veterans, Jj Kelley's is a hidden gem worth visiting again.
