Basic looking dive bar in Libertyville that brings in mostly those that live around it. Downing's isn't a high class place. If looking for anything fancier, stay away and up the street to the hipper restaurants. Has basic beer on tap, and some crafts in bottles and cans. The prices are pretty good on these. This is a typical neighborhood bar. Very clean on the inside. Service was OK but you have to go to the bar to order food to order drinks. They do not have servers walking around taking your orders. A small bar full of libertyville locals. If you went to high school near here from 1970 to the present day. You'll run into someone you know. It get busy late. So if you're looking for a crowded bar with interesting company. Come here, after the other bars have had enough of you.
