Curtis was absolutely amazing,friendly, attentive, professional, and made me feel genuinely welcomed. His service and attitude were outstanding and definitely made my experience better. Unfortunately, Zoe was the complete opposite. Her attitude toward me was rude, dismissive, and made me feel very uncomfortable and unwelcome. Downing's is a hidden gem serving amazing food, especially the Mexican dishes and the Irish burger. The bartender crafts strong drinks, and the atmosphere is lively, especially late at night. Locals from Libertyville frequent the bar, making it a great spot to run into familiar faces. Despite some minor issues with cleanliness, it's a great spot to grab a drink and catch up with friends.
