Kozy restaurant is a welcoming and modern spot that offers a variety of delicious Korean-inspired dishes. The atmosphere is pleasant and clean, making it a great place for both casual meals and date nights. The restaurant features a thoughtfully decorated interior with comfortable chairs, creating a nice setting for diners.
The menu includes flavorful options like the Kozy Fried Chicken, which is crispy, crunchy, and well-seasoned, and the porkbelly buns that are light and tasty. Main dishes such as Bulgogi Steak and Beef Short Ribs are tender, flavorful, and satisfying. The lunch box options are highly praised for their good quality, generous portions, and variety of sides, including tasty soup of the day like seaweed and beef, which received special mention for its excellent broth.
Appetizers like bao buns and pork dumplings are flavorful, with crispy textures and savory dips. Glass noodles filled with mushrooms and vegetables are rich and tasty, though they might benefit from a touch more salt or soy. The fried chicken Gang Jeong is hot, crispy, and coated with a sweet glaze that adds to its appeal.
While the food receives high praise, some cocktails, such as the Yuzurita and Yuzu Gin Spritz, are noted to be unbalanced, needing more spirits and better flavor balance. Overall, Kozy offers great food, friendly service, and a diverse menu that adds a valuable dining option to Libertyville, encouraging repeat visits.
