I was road tripping between Wisconsin and St. Louis and I decided to take a detour off the interstate to visit Mel-o-Cream. I'm a huge donut connoisseur, and I really enjoyed these. The creme filling was unlike any I've had before and was sweet and delicious. I would definitely consider stopping in again the next time I'm traveling.
Just got a donut at their new location and it tasted better than all the other Mel-O-Cream donuts I’ve had before! The store was very clean. They are now open until 7:00 every day of the week. The owner told us that if they are out of a specific kind of donut you like, you can ask them to make it in the back because they fill and ice all their donuts there.
