“We stopped in on Sunday 3/16/2025 on way home from Springfield. I saw tablecloths and cloth napkins thought we would be out of place. Far from it. From the hostess, to waitress, bus boys made everyone feel so welcome. I wish I could remember our waitresses name, she was so good, friendly, knowledgeable. Fried chicken was awesome, as was my husband's chicken fried steak, soup and salad bar. So to the very pretty young lady with the long wavy hair thank you for making us feel so welcome, making fresh coffee and never letting cup get empty. We would drive the 100 miles from home again to eat here. From the old biker with beard and wife with the crutch.”

“Since 1922 family ownde. Place was hopping with locals so food must be good. The bakery items I bought were good and I brought home a container of broccoli cheddar soup that I haven't tasted yet”

“Stopped in for supper on our way home. Restaurant is clean, waitress was friendly & attentive. I had the stuffed hash brown breakfast. It was very good, biscuit was homemade. Hubby had the Philly sandwich & a bowl of chili. Both were good. Would definitely eat here again on our way through.”

“Ordered a large amount of take-out. Order was ready, correct, and hot in 15 minutes, even while the dine-in area was over half full. Restaurant was clean and staff was very friendly.”

The coffee and breakfast sandwich were fantastic, the service was amazingly fast, and the best part is is that everyone behind the counter used my name after they knew it. A very nice personal touch in a historic building in a historical downtown. If you're passing through the area make sure to stop, you won't be disappointed!”

“Potato cakes are permanently back on the menu 😋 also fish sandwiches are on the menu probably for a limited time, but they are delicious and should be an everyday item as well. Nice selection of other sandwiches as well. I've always had friendly and prompt service, and it's one of the few places I order drive through, and all the items are in the bag and correct.”
