“Great food and Great service!”

“We stopped in on Sunday 3/16/2025 on way home from Springfield. I saw tablecloths and cloth napkins thought we would be out of place. Far from it. From the hostess, to waitress, bus boys made everyone feel so welcome. I wish I could remember our waitresses name, she was so good, friendly, knowledgeable. Fried chicken was awesome, as was my husband's chicken fried steak, soup and salad bar. So to the very pretty young lady with the long wavy hair thank you for making us feel so welcome, making fresh coffee and never letting cup get empty. We would drive the 100 miles from home again to eat here. From the old biker with beard and wife with the crutch.”

“We visited the Huddle House in the Ozarks for breakfast, and while my experience was a bit hit-or-miss, there’s definitely potential here.

I wasn’t feeling particularly hungry, so I just ordered a biscuit with gravy. Unfortunately, the biscuit was hard as a rock, which was disappointing for something so simple and classic. That said, the gravy had great flavor, which helped salvage the dish a bit.

My wife’s meal, on the other hand, looked and tasted fantastic. She had a big, fluffy omelet with perfectly crispy hash browns and absolutely loved it. I also noticed that the food coming out for other tables around us looked really solid—generous portions, fresh, and well put together.

The place itself is a classic diner-style chain, with that cozy, casual vibe and an all-day breakfast menu. It's the kind of spot that usually delivers reliable comfort food, and I’m guessing my biscuit was just an off moment.

Overall, while my dish wasn’t great, the good service, my wife’s excellent meal, and the quality I saw around the restaurant made me believe they’d redeem themselves on a second visit. I’ll definitely give it another try next time we’re in the area.”

“Really awesome restaurant got something to go the young lady that took my order was vary nice great price and great food. Place is really busy the inside of the restaurant is beautiful. I'll be back I told her. I ordered Sesame Chicken it was absolutely awesome. Also ordered some Wonton soup which was excellent. Wasn't sure about the size so I just ordered a large. It was huge probably enough for 4. All of my order I kept some for the next day. Just as great as left overs. All and all a great experience great food at a great price.”

“We found Kismet Coffee on our trip thru Illinois and it was a worthwhile stop. The coffee was outstanding and the atmosphere was so comfortable and inviting. I had my usual redeye and my wife had a latte. These girls know how to pull a perfect shot. The food was outstanding as well. Definately a saved spot for us to visit whenever we pass thru Litchfield!”

“A friend purchased the Lasagne with Bread Sticks for me while I was “house bound “. The Lasagne might have been the best I ever had. At least the best in over 20 years.”

“My wife and I were driving through the area and stopped here on a recommendation. We were glad we did as the food was very good and service was excellent! The desserts looked wonderful but we were too full from the main course. The small soup and salad bar that were included was a nice addition as well. Would definitely stop here again!!”
