The food is amazing! Fresh, raw and delicious. Even my carnivore friend enjoyed everything. We had the nachos, cheese steak, cucumber boats and the turtle brownies. Entrees are served with green salad and an apple citrus salad. I took the Thai pizza and almond butter banana pie to go. The staff and owner are pleasant and attentive. I do not live nearby, but plan on returning.

I would like to update my review as I'm proof reading through my last review. Trying to copy and paste the actual ingredients. To allow the readers to see what's in the entrees I see many mistakes I had made for the collard greens Thai wrap which were delicious....and doubled the pad Thai recipe..in any case ..I could not edit it after posting... amateur mistake...I do apologize..but I would like to add how good I felt the day after ..it actually was one of my best days ..it seems the food I eat causes a lot of issues with inflammation and her food I really felt good , not bloated and cleanse the next day.... So thank you for that....

My husband and I are not vegan but we appreciate good food and Vegan Cafe is excellent. We were treated like friends even though it was our first visit. The menu was explained to us and we were able to sample several dishes before ordering. It was difficult to choose. I loved the Pad Thai with zoodles and my husband raved about the Sloppy Joe's. I took a piece of the almond butter pie home. Not to be missed. We traveled 45 miles from Park Ridge to get there. Worth it. See you again.

The menu was completely explained to us, and we enjoyed a sample plate of several dishes. It was hard to choose. The Pad Thai with zoodles is delicious, and my husband raved about the sloppy Joe's. We took desert home. I highly recommend the almond butter pie. We will be back. We traveled almost 45 miles to get there. Worth it.

We finally made it for lunch. It was all delicious.Hubby had BLT pizza, I had white lasagna. Today's special and red smoothies, dessert was turtle pie and double chocolate mousse.We will be back soon.Vegetarian options: Raw vegetarian with amazing sauces. Looked like they do a great carryout business from the number of bags I saw them putting in the cooler.Dietary restrictions: They worked with my capsaicin issues and adjusted the amount of sauce on my lasagna. It was really nice to be able to eat it all.Parking: We parked on the street and walked to the restaurant a couple of blocks through the beautiful downtown.

I decided to try new food this year to eat more healthy and I came across Healthy Sins which I am glad. To begin I didn’t know what to order as I am new to vegan food and Margareta (misspelled sorry) was very informative of all the ingredients and even allowed us to sample the food. We ordered the white lasagna, pizza and nachos…ALLL VEGAN NO GLUTEN JUST PLAIN CLEAN EATING?Overall the food was good and I will be back soon. Thank you for your great hospitality.

Went out to lunch today with my mom at Healthy Sins, Inc., The Vegan Cafe right here in Lockport. Interesting place! All the food there is vegan, raw, and organic. Mom had the lasagna with a side salad and a brownie bite. I had the cheese lovers pizza with the fruit salad and a brownie bite. Mom's lasagna noodles were slices of zucchini. My pizza crust was made from almonds and sunflower seeds, if I remember correctly. On both of ours, the tomato sauce was really flavorful and tasted like it was made from sun dried tomatoes. The cheese on our dishes was made from various kinds of nuts. Both dishes were cold since the food is raw. The brownie was made from dates so it was very moist and had a nice mellow sweetness. If you're interested in trying unique food that tastes really good, I highly recommend this place!Vegetarian options: This is an all vegan restaurant

I am not a vegan or a vegetarian, and I came to this restaurant with a family member who is vegan and I have had vegan and vegetarian food before, but it was always hot. This is only cold food cannot see who would want to eat this type of food When it's cold outside and then having more cold food. Anyone can make salads and that sort of thing but I was not impressed with the food especially at the price point. Also, I would expect an establishment like this to procure fruit and vegetables from nearby farms, that is not the case, I don't even think all of the food there was organic which is a big letdown
