We have been here several times and I've always had an excellent experience. This past visit, we sat on the back patio, which is gorgeous. Our waiter was gracious and helpful. Every dish was perfectly prepared, with generous portions, and delicious. They were very kind in helping us celebrate a special birthday.

Arrive a little early for reservation, was greeted warmly & provided very comfortable seating. Waiter was very welcoming & helpful, explaining the specials and several items on the menu. Food was EXCELLENT! Minestrone Soup best I have had since Taylor Street or Oakley in Chicago Italian neighborhoods 40 years ago! Main course meals top shelve, served perfectly & were generous portions. Chefs, Wait Staff & Everyone involved made our evening special & worth the drive from the South Suburbs of Chicago to Long Grove.

We enyoyed our outside visit on their lovely patio. We had a reservation at 2, but we had no trouble changing it to 11 when they opened.

Our first time at Enzo and Lucia's. The ambiance was wonderful and we were able to have a conversation!! Entire staff was wam and welcoming. Fried Calamai was possibly the best I have ever had. All entrees were carefully prepared and well presented. Pacing of meal was a drop on the slow side, possibly our fault for not ordering right away. All things considered, a very enjoyable evening.

The food is reallllly good but their service is lacking. We waited for 15 minutes past our reservation to get seated, though others walked in and were sat immediately. It took at least 10 minutes for someone to take our drink order and then they all didn't l come out at the same time. We were only a party of 4 but 3 of our drinks came and then the 4th a few minutes later. Oh but wait - its so loud in there that the server misheard one of the drink orders, so one had to go back and we waited for the replacement. The food was good but again came in 2 deliveries - again, it's only a table of 4. How hard can it be to get the timing down correctly!? I've worked in the hospitality industry for 30 yrs...they need to work on their coordination & timing! There was an issue with one of the meals and it was promptly corrected so I will give them the win on that front. The lobster risotto was amazing - so much lobster in it and a whole tail on top to boot but...no knife to take it off the shell or cut it into bite sized pieces. All 3 other meals (2 chicken and a steak) recieved knives but I needed to borrow one from someone else in my party - really!?! If the server (or a busser, or a manager, or an expediter or anyone!) had been around more often i could have asked for one but there was never anybody around when we had an issue or a question. I will say this...the Butter Toffee cake was so good that it almost made up for the other faults of the evening. Maybe they were just having a bad night. I will give them grace and assume goodwill. The food is so good that the place deserves a 2nd chance. BUT, they need to get it together and have the customer service align with or exceed the caliber of the food they are serving. The food itself will only take them so far.

Enjoyed our first dinner at Enzo and Lucia's! We will be back for sure. We really liked to decor and vibe of restaurant. It is a busy place but not too loud or cramped. Our server, Pedro, was attentive but did not hover. Our meals were exceptional. The Chicken Francese was moist and super flavorful and the Filet Vesuvio was done to perfection and the accompanying potatoes were delicious.

Moderately full for lunch on Saturday. Food was very good- we had Chicken Parm and Pork Chop special. Service and ambiance was excellent.

WE think it's one of the best & most reasonable italian restaurants around. The people are so nice and accommodating , its lovely!

The food was very good but we were disappointed with the poor service. After the grilled octopus (appetizer- delicious) and gorgonzola salad (nice), we were waiting at least 30 minutes for our entrees (1 chicken vesuvio and 2 linguini con vongole- both entrees were tasty). We saw that people at other tables that arrived after us were served their entrees before us. We then hailed the waitress and asked on the status of the entrees, and she said it's taking longer because we ordered the chicken with bone (as opposed to boneless)- which was a ridiculous excuse in my opinion. Five minutes later, our food came out, but instead of chicken vesuvio, they brought out chicken cacciatore. We said we ordered chicken vesuvio- they took the entree back to the kitchen. The manager came out and apologized for the error- chicken vesuvio came out 10 minutes later. The waitress also apologized. You would think she would have been more conscientious towards us after the error; however, after we finished our meal, we couldn't get her to come to our table- we wanted our check. Instead, she was having a lively conservation with the couple at the table next to us with her back towards us. The food was great but unfortunately our overall experience was marred by the service or lack thereof.

It's difficult to find a restaurant on any day of the week where you can hear yourself think or talk. This is evident anywhere in the suburbs. Enzo and Lucia is no different but it's a small restaurant and noise is to be expected. If you desire a quiet atmosphere, this restaurant is not for you. The food was good (and priced well) as was the service. We had Michelle as our server and she was very attentive. We will be back but probably eat on their patio where noise is much less.

My husband and I have been customers since the original ownership years earlier. The present owners - no longer new- have even better what was already good. Food is exceptional. My husband is a huge fan of the whole branzino. I get something different every time and have never gone wrong. I think my favorite must be the short rib cappellacci. Servers are the best; friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. When weather permits, dining outside on their beautiful patio feels like being on vacation.

We enjoyed a wonderful dinner for our 48th wedding anniversary. From start to finish it was an outstanding experience. The service was friendly and professional. The food was excellent and exceeded our expectations. The only disappointment was that it took us this long to fine this great local gem.
