“I recently hired La Luna’s to cater my Son‘s celebration of life event. This restaurant is amazing, the food is fabulous. Everyone was so impressed by how delicious it was. The kindness and compassion shown to me by Amanda the owner was something I will never forget, she took away so much stress on the worst day of my life. no matter what you need them for they are excellent to work with. Love going there for dinner also!!!! All the employees are so kind and take very good care of their customers.”

“We love living near Happy Donuts and walk there frequently for treats with the kids. However, today we were told that we couldn't have any Boba drinks because the manager was the only one who could make them and she was on a phone call? Left super disappointed and spent our Boba funds somewhere else. Just a weird experience that left me with sad kids.”

“We had the buffet. I am very selective when I order fried chicken at restaurants. I love fried chicken and The Villa has the best friend chicken I have ever eaten. Hats off to the person in charge of frying the chicken. I won't mention his name, but he is the best at fixing wonderful friend chicken. My only complaint is I wish the fried chicken was available every day. We will definitely be back many more times in the future.”

“This is the best Thai restaurant for miles around, outstanding flavorful food, great service with lovely staff and its super clean and looks like it was built yesterday. Lovely atmosphere.

These places are rare, its not a hole in the wall, its a gift to Mattoon that needs to be supported by lots of hungry people eager to explore a healthy meal that costs less than a boring burger (yes they are great but cummon, try something new and this place will have you hooked on your first meal).
The Pad Cee Eu, yellow curry, are fantastic...we are making the trek over there from Shelbyville and our goal is to work through the entire menu one meal at a time...they are ALL yummy!!!”

“Love this place!!! We come here every week. Bar tenders are awesome the drinks are cheap. Come out for karaoke a band wings pizza or when Saucy Swine food truck is there and get some of the best bbq in the area!”

“We eat here very often the food is great. We did have a problem on Easter Sunday lunch. My husband ordered chicken on the beach and was half the size that it usually is. He orders this all of the time and always very good, very disappointing. I hope management will straighten this out with the cooks. My food was excellent!”

“The atmosphere and service are wonderful, but it's the food that makes Hunan my favorite restaurant in Mattoon. After moving to Illinois from California, we were looking for something bigger than a small-town cuisine. Hunan was more than expected. Date night turned into a delicious dinner. My husband had orange chicken, and I had the mushroom chicken, and we shared veggie lo mien. The food was amazing and flavorful. It exceeded our expectations. 100% recommendations. The service was a bit slow, but there was only 1 server, and she did her best to make sure we were taken care of. We will go back!”

“Quiet, and comfortable. $18 for a fresh hot pizza and a pitcher of beer! Heck of a deal on a pizza-date. Really tasty choices made in a real pizza kitchen, cooked in a quick pizza oven at The Castle! Fresh new parking lot, and cold A/C on those hot nights!”

“The Alamo Steakhouse & Saloon is a spectacular Steakhouse that has excellent Steak (Sirloin), Shrimp, Ceasar salad, and rice, which is a superb dinner with an excellent brewery, mixed drinks, and wine options. I attended The Alamo Steakhouse during the IHSA Track Meet weekend, which all the IHSA Track officials highly recommended and lived up to the standard they spoke about!”

“First time eating here. Such a treat to happen upon this wonderful establishment!! Our server, DAWN, is a jewel! As 1st timers she recommended the Family Pleaser Special meal for 2. Your choice of pizza and toppings, 2 drinks, 2 salads. AND the French salad dressing is home-made. Superb flavor. We even used it as dip for our pizza. We will be back next time we're traveling in the Mattoon area! Thank you Dawn for wonderful service and delicious meal.”

I didn't want to indirectly take away the 5 ★ quality food rating i gave them by throwing 5 on everything, but i have no complaints with them - only praise.”

“Owners are great, the positive vibes & acceptance of different types of people is a breath of fresh air, the decor is rock n roll & it makes a super fun atmosphere. Prices are beyond reasonable and they also host fun events! Such a different feeling from the other bars in town. This place makes my little punk heart smile. Love em! Larissa, Laura, Gabby, and the young man working with them made an inconvenient corporate policy with online ordering a pleasant experience. I thought it was a place you could go in and sit down. It's a pick-up-and-go kind of place. It reminded me of being at a concession stand.”

“In town for a wedding and had no idea where to grab lunch. I'm sick of McDonald's, Arby's, Taco Bell and all of the other big chains. I saw a line of cars at this place and gave it a try... and I'm glad I did!!! Great burger. I got a double cheeseburger and added mayo and lettuce. It was perfect. I wish this Mc was a big chain that I could find elsewhere.”
