“This is the best Thai restaurant for miles around, outstanding flavorful food, great service with lovely staff and its super clean and looks like it was built yesterday. Lovely atmosphere.

These places are rare, its not a hole in the wall, its a gift to Mattoon that needs to be supported by lots of hungry people eager to explore a healthy meal that costs less than a boring burger (yes they are great but cummon, try something new and this place will have you hooked on your first meal).
The Pad Cee Eu, yellow curry, are fantastic...we are making the trek over there from Shelbyville and our goal is to work through the entire menu one meal at a time...they are ALL yummy!!!“

“We had the buffet. I am very selective when I order fried chicken at restaurants. I love fried chicken and The Villa has the best friend chicken I have ever eaten. Hats off to the person in charge of frying the chicken. I won't mention his name, but he is the best at fixing wonderful friend chicken. My only complaint is I wish the fried chicken was available every day. We will definitely be back many more times in the future.“

“The atmosphere and service are wonderful, but it's the food that makes Hunan my favorite restaurant in Mattoon. After moving to Illinois from California, we were looking for something bigger than a small-town cuisine. Hunan was more than expected. Date night turned into a delicious dinner. My husband had orange chicken, and I had the mushroom chicken, and we shared veggie lo mien. The food was amazing and flavorful. It exceeded our expectations. 100% recommendations. The service was a bit slow, but there was only 1 server, and she did her best to make sure we were taken care of. We will go back!“

“First time eating here. Such a treat to happen upon this wonderful establishment!! Our server, DAWN, is a jewel! As 1st timers she recommended the Family Pleaser Special meal for 2. Your choice of pizza and toppings, 2 drinks, 2 salads. AND the French salad dressing is home-made. Superb flavor. We even used it as dip for our pizza. “The food is great. The only reason I gave four ★'s for service and atmosphere was because I didn't have much interaction with the employees and I only pic up take out. I didn't want to indirectly take away the 5 ★ quality food rating i gave them by throwing 5 on everything, but i have no complaints with them - only praise.“

“Love this place! I’ve been eating here for about 18 years. The place is always clean and presentable and the selections at the Buffett are plentiful. I used to work for a pest control company when I started eating here and I can tell you that I saw some nasty places and this was not one of them. The staff are always great! My wife and have come to know and establish a friendship with the manager Annie. She is a beautiful person who is helpful to everyone. If you’re down in Mattoon, IL. and are craving Chinese food, this is the place.“
