“We had the buffet. I am very selective when I order fried chicken at restaurants. I love fried chicken and The Villa has the best friend chicken I have ever eaten. Hats off to the person in charge of frying the chicken. I won't mention his name, but he is the best at fixing wonderful friend chicken. My only complaint is I wish the fried chicken was available every day. We will definitely be back many more times in the future.“

“The atmosphere and service are wonderful, but it's the food that makes Hunan my favorite restaurant in Mattoon. After moving to Illinois from California, we were looking for something bigger than a small-town cuisine. Hunan was more than expected. Date night turned into a delicious dinner. My husband had orange chicken, and I had the mushroom chicken, and we shared veggie lo mien. The food was amazing and flavorful. It exceeded our expectations. 100% recommendations. The service was a bit slow, but there was only 1 server, and she did her best to make sure we were taken care of. We will go back!“

“This is the best Chinese restaurant hands down! They are very nice and friendly! Every order is made to order, so it’s always steaming hot! The crab Rangoons are a must try! Never had any others that compare! Soooo good! The lobby isn’t fancy or nice to look at! But it’s a carry out place!“

“It's not my favorite pizza and the prices are a little higher than I prefer but it's still pretty decent. Most recently tried the 10'' BBQ Chicken pan pizza along with bread sticks and a mozzarella stick. Tasty meal. The service has always been good.“

“Love this place! I’ve been eating here for about 18 years. The place is always clean and presentable and the selections at the Buffett are plentiful. I used to work for a pest control company when I started eating here and I can tell you that I saw some nasty places and this was not one of them. The staff are always great! My wife and have come to know and establish a friendship with the manager Annie. She is a beautiful person who is helpful to everyone. If you’re down in Mattoon, IL. and are craving Chinese food, this is the place.“
