“My Fraternity Brother Anthony Williams and partner Byron Diggs when not bringing great joy as a part of the Our Lady of Our Lady of Africa Parish, Chicago Eucharistic Ensemble have a great Cafe in Maywood right off of I 290. It is called Meal of the Day and has some great southern cuisine in an establishment on the 4th floor of a business complex overlooking I 290. It is appointed with some great art from notable black artists . There is also a banner from Hales Franciscan Class of 1979 , not sure what that’ s all about .. lol! They also do on site catering and have fed the masses after masses at their home church . Check them out ! My fraternity brother has been telling me for years to make the drive and wifey and I finally did and it was so worth it ! .“

A special mention goes to our server, Sasa, who was incredibly attentive and provided great suggestions. He even surprised us with complimentary limoncellos, which were absolutely delicious. For appetizers, we had the grilled octopus and hummus—both prepared to perfection and bursting with flavor. For the main course, we chose the Dover sole and Amish chicken. These dishes were exceptional and stood out as some of the best we've ever had. The potatoes served with the sole were also a delightful surprise. Portions were generous, and the prices were quite reasonable considering the quality and quantity of the food. We highly recommend Topaz and will definitely be returning!“

I recently hosted a dinner for a baby shower for my daughter in their side room. Had 14 people with a catered menu of chicken limone, beef tenderloin, gnocchi, salad, roasted potatoes, and grilled vegetables for a very reasonable price. “I love this place and I love Giant. The crust is great, good texture and flavorful, and the cheese they use is top notch. Pepperonis were also high quality, if there’s a problem it lies with the sauce. There's hardly any, not even close to enough on either their tavern or NY style. Order the NY style with extra sauce. The tavern is so thin that there’s barely any room for sauce, if you care. Still solid tavern.“

I came before they were closing and he took care of me , I absolutely love JJ Fish & Chicken! Every time I go, I order the chicken tenders, and they are always fresh, hot, and perfectly seasoned. You can tell they take pride in the quality of their food. The customer service is excellent—everyone is friendly, welcoming, and quick to help. It’s hard to find a spot that consistently delivers great food and service, but JJ Fish & Chicken nails it every time. “Wow, this place was good. Got the original Philly. One of the best cheese steaks that I’ve had in a while. The bread is on point. The steak is cut up in larger chunks than you typically see in cheese steaks, which I actually really liked. And you can add other ingredients for no additional charge. The meat was very fresh. And the crinkle cut fries are on point and crunchy. And has seasoning sprinkled on it. Highly recommend. Parking is a little bit tough, since it’s street parking only, so plan accordingly if you have a big group“
