I was a little scared of trying the Henny Penny because of some of the negative reviews posted both on here and yelp-so much so I almost walked out-but the food was good! And the the chicken was one of the best we've had. We'd go again :)
I grew up on the outskirts of Chicago,, my husband and I moved to McHenry co about 10 year ago. Its very hard to find good food.... I will say henny penny has awesome broasted chicken,, not fried!! Not many places serve broasted chicken and potatoes. Their restaurant is super clean, they are family owned and wonderful people!! If u know or remember broasted chicken growing up,, this is the place!!

Quaint place with tasty fried chicken, need I say more. Going to have to try other items on the menu on day. But due to it being a ways from us, we always go with the fried chicken and fried chicken to go, lol. Well worth the trip.
