“Again 10/10 at Little Chef in McHenry for both food and service ❤️ never a bad item or experience there! Today - based on the owner's recommendation - we started with a cupl of their meat and veggie soup that did not make it on the official menu - sorry missed a photo of it - delish! 😍 Pork, chicken and beef in a savory broth chock full of veggies - carrots, celery, onion 🤤 followed that with the egg salad appetizer, one of our absolute favs 🤩 4 toasted rounds of bread with their excellent egg salad 👍 then we tried the new potato pancakes entree for the first time, which came topped with assorted grilled veggies, plus toast, eggs and hollandaise sauce.. we got the eggs scrambled, rye toast buttered, sauce on the side, and requested a side of sour cream. YUM 😋 ended up with the vanilla cake with vanilla frosting - sorry to miss a photo of that too. Awesome! Service was timely, water glasses attentively refilled, as was the coffee too. $31 Note: it was one order of each item as we always split 🤯 We also got 2 bloody Marys and 2 mimosas, plus a Bailey's, kahlua and amaretto mix to add to our coffee as a nightcap from Old Bridge Tavern next door $48 Left with no leftovers and completely satisfied, happy and full.“

The front end staff are courteous, polite and classy and am always met with a friendly greeting at the door. Alexis is an outstanding bartender and a gifted mixologist. Her limoncello martinis are exquisite. The wait staff are consummate professionals. I have had the genuine pleasure of being served by Virginia on numerous occasions and she is simply outstanding! And it's not just her level of service, but she's friendly and engaging and makes excellent food and drink recommendations. The girl knows what she's talking about - period. Her knowledge is impressive and she always makes it fun! The food is truly in a class by itself and compliments to the Chefs and kitchen staff. Fresh ingredients, incredible sauces and fabulous flavor combinations make this place a most memorable culinary experience. I highly recommend!!!“

8/26/26 - still trying to go in every Wednesday and take advantage of the half price appetizers. Now I've been getting the steak quesadilla and the fried calamari and a couple of beers! Still cold beers still good food and Jessi the bartender does a great job.

6/3/26 - Wednesdays is half price appetizers all day so I had steak, quesadillas and mozzarella sticks and a beer and watch the ball
game while sitting at the bar.
It was all appetizers not just a limited selection So there was a lot of items to choose from.
I will definitely be back to take advantage of the special!

“Went for lunch today, Sunday. I found the price to be reasonable, and the selection of food excellent. Have 2 suggestions: 1. The soup was very hot, excellent. However, the food was not. Lukewarm at best. 2. I skipped several dishes because I had no idea what they were. Signage very poor. The staff was very friendly and I will definately try it again. (I love buffets, but I also love my food hot.)“

Chick-fil-A always delivers, but this location went above and beyond. The atmosphere was incredibly inviting and spotlessly clean, making for a great dining experience. The food was amazing as always—fresh, hot, and delicious.
What made this visit truly special was Brooklyn. Her personality was outstanding—she was attentive, warm, and wasn't shy about spreading positivity with genuinely sweet compliments. Exceptional service like hers is rare and made our day! There was another girl rounding and she was great as well! I think her name was Johanna? We will definitely be back.“

“Thanks, for just being open!! My husband and I were sitting down eating when an older gentleman (Ray) came in set his stuff down on table and went up to counter to order. Ray was informed that he was to place his order at the Kiosk. Ryan told cashier “I don’t know how to do that”. Young lady told Ray she was not allowed to come out and help him. Poor Ray was going to leave ( he really did not know how to order on kiosk). I went and helped him 😊 Ray was a happy camper with his meal ☺️☺️. Thanks again for being open!!
