“Love the atmosphere as soon as we walked in on a Friday late morning. We were sat right away. Coffee was never empty and the food was fast and amazing. This was our first time here but we will be back very soon. Their lemon raspberry crepes were delicious and perfectly balanced. I got the jalapeno omelet with hash and mini waffles. When they brought the plate out it was MOUNDED with food.“

“My family and I moved to McHenry not that long ago and let me tell you, finding a Hispanic/latino restaurant isn’t hard to find - But finding the restaurant that delivers in not just their service, but their food is hard to find. That’s where my brother and I have found ourselves many times visiting other restaurants around the area and being let down…
Not today! We have finally found a restaurant that delivers in all the areas we have been looking for and then some. Listen, want to know how to spot a good Mexican restaurant , try their chip and salsa and their aqua de horchata. If they’re stale, you’ll know first hand what to expect.
Well, let me tell you that not only did this place feel welcoming, their food was delicious! The tamales was the key factor in this as well as their rice. My brother and I were left satisfied and happy. The owner reminds me of my father, someone who fights to make a living and the way everyone here treats their customers is outstanding! I can see why the people who kept arriving had a smile on and just respected as if they were familia.
Highly recommend this place and I cannot wait to come back! Gracias por todo ??“

“We have been going there for the last five years bragging about the hamburgers. Went there today order the hamburger it came out. Almost fully well done very poor quality. One asked If I could have gotten it rare was told menu says medium well. Meat was of a quality as if it was cooked earlier this week. Definitely will not be going back for hamburgers. Was told by the waitress No one will ask you how you want it done it says on the menu. We used to consider it best burger in town.“
“Bernice, Jim, and their crew at 31 North made our wedding day amazing! The crew came to the reception venue the Friday before to set up the tables, the bar, etc. which was very helpful for us to see the dinner and cocktail hour areas all set up before the big day. On the big day, the staff was very attentive to us (the bride and groom) as well as all of the guests, ensuring timely passing of appetizers and fast serving of the dinner courses. Also, the dinner was nice and hot, showing that the final stages of cooking were completed at the reception venue just prior to serving. All of the staff were so kind. During the year leading up to the wedding, Bernice was very responsive via email, answering all of my questions and adjusting our proposal countless times with any additions or subtractions. She was also very accommodating when we wanted to add a few extra desserts, plate some of the dinner courses separately, etc. Overall, we’d highly recommend 31 North for any of your catering needs in the McHenry, Hebron, Woodstock areas of IL! Thank you 31 North!“

“Excellent food and service. We stopped for breakfast here and I got the build-your-own breakfast skillet and it was excellent. Good-sized portion for my meal and not ridiculously priced. Looks like they are known for their pizza. I definitely will be back to try it, but breakfast was excellent sitting out on their patio that overlooked the canal. Highly recommended. Enjoy!“

“Went for lunch today, Sunday. I found the price to be reasonable, and the selection of food excellent. Have 2 suggestions: 1. The soup was very hot, excellent. However, the food was not. Lukewarm at best. 2. I skipped several dishes because I had no idea what they were. Signage very poor. The staff was very friendly and I will definately try it again. (I love buffets, but I also love my food hot.)“

“Just ordered from there, half food was cold, most tasted steamed to no flavor beef in chop seuy and fried rice was not chewable, messed up the order and over charged me, I got 10 pounds of food that I threw out, never again“

“Always plenty of options for food! Wonton Tacos and Boneless Wings are our favorites. Bourbon Steak or Bourbon Chicken and Shrimp are delicious. Can't go wrong with a burger here either. There are new mixed drinks options every time we come. Monica was very pleasant, attentive, and friendly! Thank you!!“
