“Came from Chicago to Starved Rock and tried Sam’s Pizza. We paid 1,500$(discounted from 9,532$) for the most rich and flavorful Cheese Pizza I’ve ever had. Please if you come here respect this man’s craft. He is just one man and he makes the dough and sauce himself. Sam’s a bit hard to understand but he’s hilarious and friendly. Treat Sam as if you were in his home, and enjoy a delicious pizza.”

“Best place we stayed between Chicago and Grafton, IL! We were stuck at Starved Rock lock for around 5 hours. We didn't get through until after dark (9:30-ish). I called and amazingly enough a guy named Chuck answered the phone! He said our boat was a little big for anything they had available but he could put us at their fuel dock for the night. He waited until we got there around 11pm, helped us get tied up then invited us to the bar for drinks and even opened the kitchen and made us supper! Seriously the best place we stayed. Fun, clean, not pretentious, extremely accommodating, and super reasonable prices! Thank you South Shore Boat Club - and Chuck - for your help and amazing hospitality!!”

“Had a great meal with my wife. The Rootbeer is made in house and was the best Rootbeer I have tried. Very clean drink, not much carbonation, and served in a frozen mug. Onions Rings and Burgers were really good. Year long ice cream service as well. Reminds me of Super Dawg in Chicago.”

“I don't normally spend time reviewing a franchise and this was my first and probably only visit to this location as I was traveling. I have to tell you, they made the best sandwich I think I have ever had at a Subway. It was perfect. Not too runny with the sauces, perfect amount of veggies so they weren't spilling all over. Bread was as fresh as I have ever had. Really great job to the staff and management.”

“Classic McDonald's food. This location is convenient for our family to stop at and the food is always very good and the restaurant is usually very clean including the bathrooms. The service has been pretty good at this location and can't remember every having to wait a long time or every having an order messed up. Love using the app and always have a coupon that I can use.”
