With some of the greatest live bands in the area and the poker runs through out the year it makes a great place to meet new people and enjoy a nice cold beer.”

“Has been a staple of our small town for many years. It went uphill once the Stockstils, and Herkerts bought it. I worked for them when I became a young mother and they did nothing but support me and showed me love and compassion. The food has always been great as well as the atmosphere and service. Would recommend to anyone!”

“We had a wonderful experience here for lunch. It was absolutely beautiful on the back deck overlooking the river and bridge. We both ordered the big burgers on the menu and they were perfect! So much food! Got fries and fried mushrooms and it was great and a great price. Great service too!mThe area is absolutely charming, and the views of the bluffs were spectacular. “We stopped in today for the first time. It was after the dinner rush close to closing. The staff was very friendly. We had the pork chops family style and the catfish fritter dinner. Both were delicious and arrived in a reasonable time. The staff checked on us frequently and made sure we were taken care of. Great comfort food. It was exactly what we were expecting. I grew up going to the original location when I lived in jerseyville, and the new location does a good job of carrying the same vibes. The menu has lots of choices and the prices are very reasonable. Great job bringing it back, and I’ll definitely be back when I am back in the area. Almost forgot to mention the new location is great for river and bridge views. Lucky to have barges passing by and watching the bridge being raised and lowered.”
