Why say you're open until midnight if you're already closed at 11 p.m.?

Pretty authentic Japanese experience. The food was spot on. Wish they had tatami seating so we could take our shoes off!

A great find! Dishes are quite different than typical Japanese restaurant menu items, maybe a bit intimidating if you aren't familiar with the ingredients or style of cooking but rewarding for the curious or adventurous. Definitely coming back.

Hidden away gem. Super nice service. Freshly prepared food. Learned about Japanese cuisine as we didn't know what most of the menu items were, but we made no bad choices. Nice to sit and chat and try a large amount of plates. Almost like a tapas atmosphere.

Great experience and food; huge selection of authentic dishes and drinks. We ate a lot and each dish was carefully prepared while tasting delicious. The dessert was incredible as well. Standout dishes: ochazuke, ika butter, agedashi tofu, and tempura. We plan to return here very soon and certainly everytime we visit Chicago burbs!

Everytime I walk into Summertime, I am always greeted with a smile and a warm welcome. I really enjoy a moderate portion of the menu and the foods presentation, proportions, and taste has never fail. Highly recommend to everyone.

We came in for dinner. We ordered a lot of food. Everything is very good. My favorite was the tofu and sake! This place is genuine authentic Japanese. Next time I will try karaoke here. Highly recommended for anyone looking for an authentic Japanese experience.

My girlfriend and I came here to reserve a meal for our two year anniversary and were delighted to have been treated to an excellent curated menu from the chef of the cafe. It was quite possibly the best meal I have ever had in my entire life. Each course was carefully crafted and the owner himself explained each dish with care and explained the pairing between the dish and sake. It was pure magic. The entire evening was a blast. It was an intimate setting, with incredible fresh and a well crafted meal. I will be returning, and not soon enough. We will probably make this a regular spot considering how great the food and service was.

Unlike anything I've experienced in Chicago. You MUST come here for a meal and drinks. Try it. Live a little.
