Hands down one of the best Tonkatsu Bentos around. The pork cutlet was crispy, golden, and incredibly juicy. Sankyu Sushi & Izakaya does an amazing job honoring traditional Japanese flavors while delivering consistent quality. A five-star experience every time.
I’ve been to Japan, and Senkyu Izakaya is probably the most genuinely Japanese izakaya experience I’ve had in the U.S.
The menu, the food, the drinks, the alcohol selection, the staff, and even the customers — everything felt very Japanese. You hear Japanese being spoken all around the restaurant, and that says a lot. This isn’t just a place trying to look Japanese. It actually feels Japanese.
Food is excellent; staff is very patient and polite. Some of the traditional toppings do not get served unless you ask for it. Maybe if they serve it, people will waste it and one has to ask for these specific toppings or condiments.

Sankyu Sushi & Izakaya - Bar Lounge is a wonderful place with very good food and a warm atmosphere. It offers an extensive Japanese menu of sushi, drinks, ramen, wonderful appetizers, and yakitori that is authentic as it gets. The owners and staff have always treated guests like family, and the service is amazing. The dining experience is tremendous, with a homey atmosphere and a traditional Japanese sitting dining area by the front. The menu has a huge selection of sushi and rotating specials that keep the menu fresh. Highly recommend the pork belly, and the entrees come with miso soup, salad, and rice. The skewers are also very good. The karaoke nights are amazing too and can get packed for a reason. The restaurant even opens late on Fridays and Saturdays. Overall, this is hands down the best place to get Japanese food in the area and a 10/10 recommend.
