This place caught my eye when I saw it was one of the higher rated places in Mundelein, decided to give it a shot. Ordered on phone, person was very happy to help. I ordered Orange Chicken Jung-Ho special, and fried wontons. When I came home, I realized they forgot the rice with the chicken. The chicken itself was good flavor and good sauce. The wontons however, where absolutely horrible. Tasted super stale, and upon biting into one I realized they had absolutely no filling. Wontons 0/10. Hopefully next time things are better.

No. Just No. This used to be my local "go to" for quick, moderately good Chinese take out. It was never excellent, but it used to be good enough. I stopped in today to get dinner for the family. I always order in person for takeout places, to reduce any confusion over the phone. When I ordered, I was told that it would be about 25 minutes as they were pretty busy. The lady at the counter took my name and number to call when it was ready. I left a nice tip for the service that was promised and left to run a quick errand nearby. I returned fifteen minutes later and waited for the call outside. Several other patrons arrived and were waiting for their food also. After 45 minutes, I asked about the status of my order and was told it would be another 10 minutes. At an hour and 15 minutes, I went in to simply ask for my order to be cancelled, but my order was bagged up as just as I got the the door. Ok. Not a huge deal. Just time. Getting home, we had General Tso's, Kung Pau Pork, Curry Chicken, Orange Chicken, some lo main, enrolls, and hot & sour soup. At least that was what we ordered. The egg rolls were fine. Not great, but decent enough to eat. They weren't really hot and seemed to have been sitting around a bit. Turns out the hot and sour soup was actually egg drop soup, so a total miss there. The pork was a bit squidgy and gelatinous. Even though it was labeled as "hot and spicy" on the menu, it was flavorless. The General Tso's was a bit like left-overs and all more than a little slimy. It was also bland and had no chilis or anything in the sauce to kick it up at all. I suspect it was just orange chicken with a bunch of soy sauce added for color. Speaking of orange chicken, it was bright and had a lot of orange flavor. If it had included some veg and been made more fresh, it could have been a good dish. As it was, it was also slippery and only slightly warm. The curry chicken did have flavor and a small amount of spiciness. After my wife fished the mostly whole stewed tomato out of the dish, it was alright. Ok, so I have never been a chicken curry fan, but I don't think I have ever known this dish to have stewed tomatoes. That is just odd. The lo mein was fresh and warm. It had the right amount of flavor and tasted the freshest of all our orders. I get that every place has an off-day. This felt more like they just don't care anymore, or that they are cutting too many corders. They said they were busy, and were clearly having trouble getting orders out, but in the hour or more that I was waiting, only 3-5 patrons left with food. That would include any delivery services as well. That's not enough to convince me there is too much demand on the kitchen. Not sure I'll give this place another shot after tonight. I don't mind a wait for good food. I don't mind mediocre food that's fast. For slop slung into a box that had to be delivered by telegram, it's just a hard pass from here on out.

I ordered egg rolls, and they were pretty good. Also ordered beef broccoli was disappointed. It was very bland, very little taste. The gravy had no flavor at all. Beef had no taste to it.

BEST Chinese take out in the areaWheelchair accessibility: I happen to be disabled & this is VERY frustrating, to say the least.Unfortunately, it is a shared parking lot with only 1 handicapped stall for the ENTIRE lot, that is NOT this establishment's fault in the slightest

Authentic Chinese and Chef is truly a great person. If you want real authentic Chinese cuisine this is the little gem ?. We carry out here weekly and everyone loved the food. We generally order vegetarian fried rice ? and veg. Lo main. I am sure other items are equally good. Check out the latest menu.

We've going to Jun Ho for several years and we're quite pleased, but within the last 6 months quality of food has not been the same. Tonight I had beef and shrimp rice the beef was not skirt as in the past and it was overcooked. The hot and sour soup was nether hot or sour. Not sure if we'll go back. To bad was a good local take out
