Really bad on every level. Zero personality. The quality has gone down over the years.

Women didn’t even want to serve me today . She directed me to the Chinese restaurant because she thought couldn’t afford the small portions .

Haven't visited in quite a while, particularly for dinner. The current chef seems to be doing a respectable job with ingredient selection and traditional preparation techniques. I didn't think we'd ever find Tara no Kiku (cod milt) fresh in Mundelein, but they're doing it. They have a nice selection to dine izakaya style. It's pretty spendy though, being higher than other similar spots around.

Can't begin to say how disappointing this restaurant was. First: young woman who seated us was also the one bringing food (or supposed to). She forgot utensils and drinks. We had to go get them ourselves. We were served shrimp shumai still frozen in the middle. The second time it came out it was still frozen! The server was invisible, she never once came to the table after we got our appetizers. Used to love this place but never again. The sushi was awful, the sashimi so thin there was no point in finishing the order. Everything about this dinner failed big time. It used to be good but terrible is how it's best described now. Waste of time and money

This is my favorite sushi place within 20 miles. The quality and freshness of their sushi beats every other place nearby. The aptly-named Treasure Box appetizer is an absolute delight! Every roll I've tried is well-made and super fresh. There are many standard rolls along with several specialty rolls to delight the taste buds. The staff are friendly and attentive. We also like the pretty screens separating tables that provide a sense of cosiness and privacy.

Place was nice but service wasn't to be desired. After receiving menu for marking and ordering, we still received the wrong order or missing items. Brought it up to the hostess and she didn't know what was going on. Asked what we thought was just the busser/server at the time what our food was on the table (5 of us ordered and they put items on 2 plates only) and he shook his head that he didn't know. It turns out that the busser was also the sushi chef. The chef didn't know what he made, that shows you the indication of level of service I've never seen before. The food was "meh" and way too expensive for its quality and lackluster service

I like to get the salmon sushi bowl for lunch and the rice also tastes amazing with the sauce. It was 15$ which was very affordable compared to the other

Cozy place and nice service but the price does not match the quality of the food. This is more directed to the terrible teriyaki chicken entree if that should even be what it’s called. Do not get it. There was no teriyaki sauce on the chicken. The rice tasted terrible because of the sauce they used for the vegetables which there was hardly any vegetables. The sushi was good, got the rainbow maki and dragon maki.

The best sushi I've ever had. Omakase is fantastic and the food and service is amazing! It's easy to overlook this little joint in a strip mall. Don't!
