The orange chicken was so so delicious and the prices were awesome for what you get! Thanks for great dinner plus leftovers!

Food was not great and yet the customer service was even worse. Missing items in take out - they didnt want to refund us the full amount of the meal, after much debate they said they would credit us, but they never did. We went to the restaurant to get the refund and they gave us cash back for the meal. If the food we did receive had been really good we would probably order again and just check our bag more carefully, but the food wasn't great so it was not worth our efforts. Wish them the best in turning things around but really wish we had ordered from take out from Mambo Italiano's next-door instead ?

This food is next level! The people who work here are really nice and the food is fantastic. We are regulars here now. We recommend the garlic beef

ordered carry out. the fish fillet black bean sauce (S16). no black bean, ripple off. How'd hell you missed the black beans??? I always order from them for dishes for carried out then modify to my test at home for a few years. there are not original Sichuan cooking but maybe learned how to use Sichuan hot paper oil. i am going to through away the dish. Is there a owner change??? anyone has any comment????

I really like Red Lantern. They make the most authentic Szechuan food I've had in the US. We never get tired of their delicious food.

Awesome Szechuan style cooking. Answers my spicy craving on my visit. Gotta be adventurous and get out of your comfort zone - worth the risk.

Very authentic Chinese Sichuan food. The chef is very professional and waiters are nice. Food even the best. Will come again

OK, it is not exactly on Butterfield if you are headed from Rt. 60 from oh, say Round Lake. The GPS took us through 2 connected parking lots to a little strip mall off Maple. The place itself is unassuming but clean, real plates abd silver, chopsticks can be requested. The food- outstanding!!! My gluten-free self longed for my daughter's crab rangoons and sweet and sour chicken! Instead of a batter, the chicken appeared to be coated in panko crumbs. My daughter brought home another order of rangoons. They were fat little pies, perfectly deep-fried. I had the hunan trio and was not disappointed! Everything was perfectly seasoned, shrimp were timed just right. Even the tea was perfect. It was actually quite a relaxing atmosphere. Service was quite good, a woman about my age (I am not old, but not young). The place appeared to have an Asian clientele speaking Manadrin in return to our hostess, a good sign of quality. The menu had complex dishes not usually found in Chinese menus in the US, including tripe, sweetbreads, and liver. We will be back in a week. Heck, I may give up cooking all together and just eat here every night.

Excellent food and great service. Reasonably priced. Some very good real Chinese dishes like "twice cooked pork" with fatty pork. Lunch menu items are inexpensive with large portions...great value.

This is one of our standby restaurants for takeout. The food is very good and reasonably priced. We usually get the chicken and Vegetables and beef with broccoli. It comes with rice. The potstickers are good too. Eating inside might be ok too but we use the place like it is takeout only ....and have been very happy.
