We eat here often, mainly at lunchtime. Every expectation is consistently met. Scott takes good care of us every time. We especially enjoy the Business Lunch offering. This visit, we were greeted by Mrs. Calabos. A treat!
This was our third time here. So, yes, we have enjoyed food and ambience. The ambience was much quieter on previous occasions. Not to say we don't enjoy a lively atmosphere of New Year's Eve. Previous times I had the lamb chops which were delicious and my husband raves about their filet mignon. We dine at City Gate every couple of months or so. We've always have had a very good experience there. However, we didn't expect our NYE to be as great as it was. The band that was playing during dinner was just terrific! Return2Soul is their name. Blues, jazz, Mo-town plus other genres. CG has had other groups playing while we've been there, but none as good as these guys. I'd love to know if they are being booked anytime in the future. Oh, yeah, the calamari...
