Happy Lamb Hot Pot, Naperville

very poor service. unfortunately I went for a special occasion. every time I have been there (3 or 4 times) it's been a gamble if they will bring out what your actually ordered on the sheet for all you can eat. don't go as a big group, they seemingly don't bring out more food if you're a bigger group. service won't refill water. waited an hour before any food actually came out that was ordered. go to the happy lamb in the city if you want to have a good experience. genuinely I won't be back here the service was not communicative and borderline disrespectful. on a positive note the food is damn good, service is just very bad.

Great restaurant! Their hot pot is excellent. My only complaints is that place is kind of unclean, and the bathroom needs some cleaning. They also have a buffet with Fries, Fried Chicken, and dessert. Other than that, this place is great!

The food is great. But the employees need to work on cleanliness. The table lamp above the hot pot had a thick layer of dust. One waiter dipped the whole water pitcher in the ice bucket instead of scooping ice & proceeded to fill with water from the sink. Cup had lipstick on the rim from previous customer. Kimchi wasn’t fresh like normally is. Sauce station is messy. Someone dropped the ladle with handle down in the one of the sauces (stayed that way for too long). Seen employee picking his teeth with a toothpick & proceeded touching other food in the buffet areas after he touched around his mouth. Plates & Bowls not cleaned well. Whole buffet needs an attendant to constantly monitor & clean the area it’s not well kept. Seen too many dirty issues kind of got grossed out.

Atmosphere was ok, Service was ok, the control knob on our table was broken & kept spinning, I was expecting better food quality. All the cheap cuts are available in the buffet, premium meat is limited even for the premium buffet price and i could not tell the difference between premium and regular cuts as beef was laser thin, everything was cross contaminated in buffet area. Was hoping there will be something stirfried to save the day but its all you can eat boiled meat style soup kitchen - reminds you of the stories from the great depression when alcapone was running similar soup shops for the improvished & poor. If you like P.F.Chang style comfort food then this spot is not for you. If you like that plastic K-pop cultured - Hyped up stuff then Welcome to Happy Lamb. Enjoy either way.

This was my first time coming here and it will definitely be my last. The moment I walked in, the staff acted like I was bothering them just by existing. No greeting, no help, and our waiter never came to our table to even answer questions. I was clearly confused since it was my first time doing hotpot, and instead of explaining anything, they acted annoyed and rushed. The energy in the whole place was just negative. For the prices they charge, the customer service should be way better. Very disappointing experience all around. The cherry on top was when I went to go pay, the cashier literally snatched the cash out of my hands, not even a thank you or basic respect, just overall rude behavior the whole environment felt negative.

1st time going after a few friend and family, and many Google review stating it was a great experience. I was even more glad that they had Halal options (different cuts of Lamb). Our waitress was amazing and this is definitely one of the best we have seen in the suburbs.

Highly recommend to all. They have a buffet bar to pick your veggies, noodle, sauces, and toppingsz along with small apps, and ice cream. With all you can eat hot pot you can't go wrong. Base price is $27/personnel, but $35/person for more premium cuts.

My wife and had hotpot for the first time here and were hooked. I’m only eat kosher meat so I was a vegetarian and she’s wasn’t. There was still so much food for both of us. They also have vegetarian versions of each broth. I had the original broth which was amazing and she had the spicy broth and liked it. Everything except the meat slices are at the buffet so you can go get your veggies and seafood as well as some rice, sauces, tea, and sides. They have a great selection. I especially liked that they had a lot of kinds of noodles and ttobokki, wood ear mushrooms, and quail eggs. She had the more expensive menu with the fancier cuts and had lamb and waygu beef as well as some seafood.
We went for lunch on a weekday and the lunch prices are really good. I think it was around $60 for both of us and we left full. Highly highly recommend this place.

Guy at the desk was rude at first until I realized he barely spoke any English so that ended up okay. The Menu is a bit confusing at first but by the second time you go you’ll get it. There is a lot of meat served, ALOT! Food was pretty good, nothing stood out as amazing. I will be back next year.
