Very loud and busy. Ordered the chopped salad with salmon because it was gluten-free. The vegetables were far from fresh and tasted like some came right out of a can. The salmon also looked like a frozen salmon patty - far from fresh and what I would expect given the price I paid. Food took a very long term to come out.Dietary restrictions: Very limited options for those with dietary restrictions.

Very pricey for how average the food is. We ordered the fried calamari, the margherita pizza, and chicken parm. We were recommended these popular dishes, but were unfortunately bland. Interestingly, the waitress we had was very kind( opposite of what many negative reviews say here). Also got 2 cocktails which were probably the best part & the bread. Everything else was definitely disappointing... bill came out to $140 with the tip. Pretty good ambiance & service, but can't recommend this place due to the food :(

We arrived at Rosebud in Naperville with 5 pm reservations at about 4:40. There was a party of 6 adults and 3 kids starting at 10 months, 2 years and 4 years. We ordered drinks, appetizers and the kids' food right away which we received pretty promptly. When the appetizers were delivered to the table, we ordered the adults' dinner which then took over an hour to delivere. Thank God the kids were good but we felt rushed to eat - time was running out. We had to order our dessert to go. They could not give a reason for the delay and we were at the restaurant almost 2 1/2 hours. Ridiculous. They didn't even apologize or comp us for the desserts. We won't be back. We spent close to $700 for dinner. Never again!!!!

Celebrating 18 years of marriage, my wife and I returned to Rosebud where we had our first date 20 years ago. We love the old school, traditional style of Rosebud. The food, as expected, was phenomenal! I got the gnocchi in vodka sauce and my wife got chicken Marsala. Both were excellent! Unfortunately the service was lacking a bit. It might have been because we think our table was behind the bar and perhaps on the edge of our servers area. But nobody asked us for another drink until we had our food wrapped up in a take home bag. At that point why get another drink? Also disappointing that our water glasses went empty for most of our dinner. We also didn’t like the noisy and cramped atmosphere. We would have enjoyed a more relaxed dining experience. Despite the good food, we expected better service especially considering the prices. Sadly we will probably not be coming back to Rosebud.

We made reservations for an anniversary dinner and were seated immediately, but it seemed as if our table was an afterthought for our server. We waited for everything and it went beyond the “we are busy tonight” waits. We also never saw the gentleman near our table unless he was coming to us- this seems like poor planning on managements part in coordinating which servers would cover which part of the floor. While the food was lovely, the lack of attention (my ice tea was not refilled until after our remaining meal had been packed into to go containers) and over crowded floor dimmed what was supposed to be a celebration.

We had occasion to be Naperville last evening. Didn't have an idea where we were going to eat. The construction down there is killing the businesses. I told my husband to pull in. We got there early for dinner so we figured we could get in. My husband had never been there so it was decided. He was so happy we did. I tried a raspberry mule. Great choice, my husband finished his beer so he could get one too. The hostess fixed another drink with honey whiskey and lemonade. Bill saw veal braciola on the menu. Most Italian restaurants don't serve. I had baked ziti. It was fabulous. The service was outstanding. Don't let the construction hold you back. It's worth it. We plan on going back soon.

Had a horrible dinner here tonight. We were a party of 3 and arrived @ 7:40pm. Our food was served to us by 8:10pm. The place closes at 10:00pm on Sundays and we were rushed out of the establishment an hour and a half ahead of time. The waitress came to our table within 30 minutes of eating to ask if we wanted a box. The busboy took the candle off the table while we were still eating, and they began turning the lights off right after. All of this happened while the manager was within eyesight. Just because we were the last reservation they had and the last customers in the restaurant because it was slow doesn't give them the right to rush anyone out. Especially for the amount of money you pay just to eat there. We had terrible service and when the service is bad the food is not as enjoyable. We will never return here nor recommend ANY of our friends to eat at this establishment.

We were totally disappointed with the place. The waiter spilled coffee on my wife's lap. Luckily it wasn't scalding but she was left sitting in wet slacks and her skin was burnt, similar to a sunburn. We will not be going back. For her trouble we did get a bowl of ice cream.

I have been going here for a while and every time I go the service just keeps getting worse! The workers there are so ignorant and always in a rush.. no one wants food smacked on the table... they need to be trained way better or please go somewhere else. Don't give this business your time. The food was alright but when you're treated with ignorance it makes everything worse.

The food was the best part. But the good stuff ends right there. Staff was not very friendly or helpful. The space is way to packed and busy. Don't go here if you want to have a nice dinner date

The waitstaff & assistants were excellent. My special requests were managed quite well. The food was prepared and presented very good. The restaurant seated is very tight. This made walking to and from the table rather difficult. The noise level is high due to the cramped seating arrangement and the hard surfaces present. Overall Rosebud Restaurant is a very good place to enjoy an excellent meal.
