Entered during an NFL Sunday/parents weekend after lunch hour to an empty house. Service was quick and friendly, we ordered some drinks and pizza and some bread sticks. Ordered my pizza to be well done. At this point, we noticed heavy metal music overpowering the atmosphere at the restaurant and began to hear the bartender and our waitress begin to loudly begin to complain to each other about personal issues. They were in the restaurant area, not safely behind kitchen doors. Their voices sounded louder than the heavy metal music and we couldn’t help noticing their ugly tone and bitching. Food took longer than expected but because of the loudness of the environment, the wait for our food seemed longer than anticipated. There was no problem understanding why the place was empty on an NFL Sunday lunch service. Once the food arrived, I found myself wildly satisfied with the food product we received. Their sauce was sweet and tasty, the cook of the pie was perfect and there was an abundance of fresh meat and cheese on my pizza. It’s advertised as “tavern” style and as a south side Chicago kid, the crust was thicker than I expected and the cheese more abundant than I expected. That said, the crust was firm, crunchy and tasty. The pizza was really good. We, however, couldn’t wait to escape the chaos created by the staff. Totally manageable problems but for a manager who wasn’t satisfying his own self environmental demands and a staff with some customer facing discipline. Shame.
Love this place and the pizza. Weve gone there since you opened. Service is great but we can't go anymore. Our LG pizza, one glass of wine and one soda, and one side salad was nearly $70 with tip. We are retired and need to find a new place for pizza, unfortunately.
What a great place ?

If I could give 0 stars I would. I had family come from out of State and was wanting to go here for dinner. We was going to have a party of 9, but 4 of us showed up around 5:15 to ask to be seated as we was going to go ahead and order, now mind you the place was almost completely empty except for one table that had a family of around
7-8 people sitting and eating at. The girl at the door asked us if we did call ahead and we said no that their website said no reservations and she said well I'll have to ask the manager if we can seat you. We was a bit baffled as the place was pretty much empty. She proceeded to walk back to speak with the manager and the rest of the staff that was all standing around back at the end of the bar and we watched him as he shook his head no. She walked back and said sorry since you didn't call ahead we can't seat you and we asked how are you to call ahead if the website says no reservations? She proceeded to say but you needed to call ahead. I guess there's a difference??? We also asked why we couldn't be seated with all the empty tables and she said those are waiting for those that called ahead. I find that a bit hard to believe and we went across the parking lot to another restaurant to eat at and went back by Joe's as we finished up at the other place and there sure wasn't a bunch of cars for that place to be filled like they said it would be. To say the least we will never attempt to eat there again.

Great food, on the more expensive side in town (30ish per pizza). Atmosphere is nice too. More of a laid back approach.
Parking: Lots of parking for free!

The food lacked seasoning/flavor to me. We had pizza, chicken, fried pickles, pizza rolls, cheese balls, and drinks. The best thing was the cheese balls! The Buffalo chicken roll (although dripping with sauce) was weirdly dry. The atmosphere and service/server were nice, though!

Pizza was good. Could have been in the oven a bit longer for a little bit crustier of a crust. Had to wait longer than expected for pickup order. Good variety of beer on the menu.
