Not sure what is going on but ordered a club sandwich fries and cheeseburger with fries after 55 minutes asked for it to go. First bad experience and it was horrible. Hamburger was way over cooked. Only 4 tables when we got there and one was getting food. Unfortunate experience at was one of our favorites.

Love Merna! It is exactly what it should be. Hole in the wall bar with solid food and good people. Is it dark, yes. Is it loud, hell yes! Are most of their options fried, damn straight!

Went for Walleye dinner. Fish was the dry and mostly batter. I felt like Chevy Chase in Christmas Vacation trying to eat the turkey. I hope this was an off night, but was not worth the price. Waitress was very nice and attentive. Will not get the fish again!

I have been to Merna Tap dozens of times and it has always been a great experience. Great food, great people, great atmosphere!! We stopped in today and it was the same as always…….FANTASTIC!!!!! I just wanted to write a review and give a shout out to Pam. She was sooooo AWESOME!!! Pam was sweet and checked on us several times in a busy bar and our food was great….as always!!! Pam just made our day though!!!! Thank you soooo much!!!!

Coming home from a sale and starving. Stopped,at Merna Tap for lunch. We were greeted when we came in. Only a minute after we sat down, when our waitress gave us a friendly hello and got our drink orders. Those arrived and we both ordered the cheeseburger special. They arrived soon after with fresh toppings, a garden red tomato and perfectly done burgers. Our waitress ( didn't get her name but was super nice) checked on us several times, checking our drinks and making sure we had everything we needed. It was sorta out of our way home to Towanda but definitely worth the drive to Merna Tap. Great food, reasonable prices and friendly folks!
Kid-friendliness: Although they have a bar, there is a slightly separate dining area. Several families with kids were enjoying their lunch while we were there.
