“Food is nothing to write home about. There's good bar food and then there's also meh bar food. This is meh. However, you will still have a great time if you just want to watch a game and have some drinks. The place is decorated, warm, and inviting. Go outside and smoke or grab a table in the summer months. Always a good time. Plenty of parking.“

“We are lucky enough to live very close to Porter Cullens and frequent here often. The food and drinks are awesome, and the staff is even better! April is absolutely amazing. She is friendly, funny, and just a fabulous server. And the owner deserves major kudos, as well. He is so hands-on, not only checking in on you, but actually serving the food as well. You do not see this very often at restaurants, and it is very admirable. You will not be disappointed in your experience here!“

“The James Joyce is a local treasure. It’s the epitome of an Irish pub; friendly, good service, and a social gathering place. The owners have made it this way, and they will come by to meet you and welcome you. They have events like the upcoming “1/2 way to St Patrick’s Day”, and it’s absolutely worth coming by for a pint. “We stopped in since we were attending The Family Feud Night in their hall. The restaurant was packed and they found seating quickly for me and my husband. We both enjoyed the battered cod and I had breaded shrimp too. All the menu prices looked reasonably but then again we aren't alcohol drinkers at meal time so are billing is always reasonable. We live 1/2 mile away so we definitely will be back. The hostess was very accommodating and our waitress was prompt since we shared we will be attending The Family Feud event ~ in which made it a fun date night ?Now that event area had bar services and the kaluha and creams were delicious !!! ?“
“Really cool bar. The best that Western has to offer. Inside is nice. They expanded and now have two party rooms. The real draw is the beer garden outside. It’s huge and has lush vegetation surrounding a ton of tables. The bartenders could work a little faster. The manager looks like the guy from The Hills Have Eyes but he’s really nice. I love coming here.“

“Came from out of state after a White Sox game. Not only was the Italian Beef Sandwich EXCELLENT, the beer was cold, and Jake was probably the best bartender we’ve ever had! His service was impeccable with a smile and a great attitude. Will definitely be returning on our next trip to Chicago! Wonderful experience.“

“I nearly missed reviewing this place... back in April I had just arrived from a horribly long overseas flight. My friends were kind enough to take me to this pub for some dinner and we were pleased at our food and dining experience. When you walk in you are met with traditional Irish decor, and a lovely fireplace in the dining area. Very welcoming and clean. I liked it immediately. Heather H. waited on us and was very friendly and helpful with making some dinner suggestions. It is a very cute interior and warm environment. My friends got Guiness of course and I was pleased to see they had a surprisingly good selection of white wine, so I opted for a glass of the Joel Gott sauvignon blanc ($9.25). I was starving and got the Wild Alaskan blackened salmon ($19.95) MM MMM with a side Salad and OH YES house made blue cheese dressing to die for. Very generous portion of fish, perfectly cooked. My friends shared a basket of crinkle cut fries ($5), curry sauce ($3.50) and Irish sausage ($6), plus Southwest Chicken Egg Rolls ($7.95). The food and drinks are very reasonably priced, and the food is really good. The dinner menu has a very impressive selection, a little bit of everything.“

“Great place, great food, great drinks, great atmosphere, and great staff. I've been there many times for events, private parties, and just because l was hungry. Very casual and affordable. You can't go wrong there. Just like the pubs I've been to in Ireland. They have a great Reuben Pizza“

“I’m glad that I listened to the reviews! Such a warm, friendly environment! Very attentive service. The place was packed and there were two servers but they were great with everything! Great Irish food, and a wonderful atmosphere! We were missing Ireland, so we came here & tried a little bit of the fish and chips, shepherd’s pie and cornbeef & cabbage bites. A great place to go! “
“Recently visited this place for St. Patrick's Day. Incredibly well run. Well staffed by people that are friendly, yet still move with a sense of urgency. Though the crowd was large, as expected, I never saw people waiting in-line to get their drinks. This place had it covered. It's a shame they don't have better snack options. I respect them choosing not to have a kitchen, but would think they could sell simple snacks as effortlessly as the drinks they serve. Regardless, a very traditional Irish Pub that is worth a visit.“

“This place is amazing. First time there was just a couple days ago. I am going back again today. The food was amazing. I got the wings and the Rubens. The service was great and the bartenders are fun and talkative. Even gave me that old pub feel when she gave me some fun feistiness back to something I said. I like that. The Guinness was outstanding as well. I can not complain about anything here! They even had a band when I was there! I can’t believe this place isn’t packed all the time. The owners came around and introduced themselves and were extremely friendly. I will for sure be back more and will tell my friends. Keep up the good work guys!“

“They have the best pizza around. I grew up eating Fox's in Beverly, Oak Lawn and Orland. The pricing has gotten a bit high for the Fox's special pizza. I understand inflation but the pricing has limited my ordering down to maybe a couple times a year now. The large pizza was also removed from the menu and you must purchase either a medium or XL.“

“This was my first time at Clancy's on 95th. It was clean and comfortable. The ladies behind the counter were delightful and easy going. A friend invited me to join her and a handful of her friends, to watch Billy Gray perform (he was fabulous with his deep voice. I listen to country music every once and awhile, but Billy had me moving my feet and tapping the table top to the music.)and we had a wonderful time. The beers were reasonably priced ($4 or $16 for a bucket of five. They give you wooden tokens to collect a cold beer when you are ready or the bucket if you prefer. My friend ordered a ham and cheese sandwich that was delicious and came with fries or in-house made potato chips. I would definitely go back.“
