“My time at Il Vicolo Trattoria was excellent! It only took a couple of minutes to find a table at 5 PM on a weekday, and the wait staff was friendly, attentive, and answered all my questions. Warm bread and water came quickly, and the food was worth the 15 minute wait. For the appetizer, I had a green salad, which was very fresh, and for the entree the spaghetti con vogole (with clams); it was cooked just right and seasoned well. I had the pistachio gelato for dessert, creamy and delicious. A very good way to end the dinner. Overall, I can’t say enough about this restaurant. It exceeded my expectations!“

“Pablo, our waiter, was exceptional. During our first visit here, he warmly welcomed us and showcased impressive knowledge of the menu, even extending to items not listed. He encouraged us to customize our meal to our liking, and he certainly delivered! For starters, we chose the grilled calamari and Rockefeller oysters. The calamari was tender and impeccably cooked, steering clear of the typical rubbery texture. Opting for balsamic instead of oil was a perfect choice. The oysters were superb, not overwhelmed with cheese. I ordered the veal picatta from the menu, expecting a thin slab, but was pleasantly surprised by the generous portion size. The angel hair pasta complemented the dish well, although I could have done without the mushrooms – a personal preference, which I should've mentioned. Nonetheless, if you're a mushroom enthusiast, they give you plenty. My boyfriend ordered off-menu, enjoying the Zuppe di Pesce with shrimp, clams, extra calamari, and rigatoni Diablo style in red sauce. It was absolutely amazing and satisfied his taste without being overly spicy. To accompany the meal, I had a glass of the house Chardonnay, which was light and buttery. Even my boyfriend, who doesn't typically drink wine, enjoyed it. Our heartfelt thanks to Pablo and the owner/chef Giovanni for an outstanding dining experience, both in terms of the meal and the service.“

“I pre ordered a beef for pickup on your Buona App at 11:36 am and I got caught up with a lot of crap and did not show up until 8pm later that evening. The manager understood and made me a brand new beef with no extra charge. I love Your Beef and Other food that you have at the Oak Park Restaurant on North Ave. It is much better than the world famous Jonnies Beef which does not have the quality of Buona Nor the size and has gotten very expensive as each month goes buy. The restaurant is always clean and the staff has always been friendly. I have been going to Buona Beef for over 40 years. Thank You for everything you offer

“The waitress and manager were polite and accommodating. The food was great (especially the spinach topping on our pizza), and the manager noticed our pizza was slightly overcooked, offered us another one on our way out. I will definitely come again and finally try the deep dish!“

“Great food. Wait was reasonable as we went across the street for ice cream to pass time. Because it’s Chicago style pizza it takes a minute to cook, but the wait is more than worth it!“
