This place is doing it right !! I've been traveling for business for over 20 yrs all over the country. I eat Mexican food at least once a week, and I was pleasantly surprised by this establishment . I had the carnitas and the chili colorado on two separate nights . Generous portions of perfectly done carnitas and chili colorado! The staff was attentive and took great care of me . I was surprised the place was not busier! It closes early( 9 pm at the time of this review ), probably due to being off the beaten path , but worth checking out if your in the area . Saved on my map ! I'm sure their other signature dishes are spot on as well , but I normally start with carnitas to set the baseline to judge if I return .

Carlos was amazing! An excellent Mexican restaurant. Jolie the hostess was so welcoming. There was a large party in front of us when we arrived. Jolie knowledged us and then when she sat us right away she said sorry for the wait. Haha it was a 30 second wait, that's already a good sign of great service. We started with the fresh guacamole which was served in the cutest molcajete bowl, a little bull! It was my belated birthday celebration so I tried some margaritas of course. The 18oz Top Shelf Margarita and the blue margarita (I only ordered this caus of the name of the restaurant haha). I preferred the top shelf one although both were overly sweet for my palate. Brother and I shared the Camaron A La Diabla (hoooo weee that's spicy!). The shrimp were enormous and so good. Lots of spicy sauce. We also shared the Arroz Con Marisco. The marisco meal was my favorite. Big juicy scallops and shrimp mmm. The cheesy sauce was very good. Mom had some tacos a La carte and she enjoyed them. The only thing I didn't like about this place was the lighting was overly bright. The facility is very clean and the service is top notch. The food this visit was delicious.

Best Horchata I've ever had. The Pollo con Chorizo was excellent and the portion was huge. I tried my partner's Enchiladas Mexicanas and they were really good, too... especially the red sauce. The table salsa was good, but I wish it was spicier. That's just my preference. We got the Chori Queso for a starter and it was also great. I loved the look of the restaurant...the tables are beautiful. Nothing bad to say about it at all.

OK. I'm from Texas and know what good Mexican food tastes like. This place is FIRE! Great service, cold draft beer, sizzling hot food that's crazy authentic and reasonably priced as well. PERFECT! The only thing is...the windows are so dark, we almost didn't do in bc they looked closed from the street. Glad we looked more closely.
