Cash only, the computer is always broken, and my pizza always seems to have anchovies. But the pizza is worth the $17,000. If you know, you know.

Best homemade pizza. We stopped by after hiking at Starved rock state park and reading all the positive reviews we decided to try this place. The joint takes you back to time, Sam is an amazing person to interact with and funny. He is really hardworking and super fast as well, we got our pizza within 20 mins. For $10 I was expecting the pizza to be average, but I was so wrong. I ended up eating more slices than I usually do. I would go back again. This is a must visit when you are in Oglesby.

What an experience! Sam is this older Italian gentleman who is a legend in this town. He is a one man show. Just back behind the counter creating these delicious pizzas! The Pizza really was phenomenal. He doesn’t charge enough so we left a nice tip. Our pizza was $1300.00 per Sam AKA $13.00. He’s a jokester with a strong Italian accent. -Go inside to order -His phone was off the hook -Sam is a busy man makin those delicious pizzas for everyone so give him grace! pizza took about an hour to make -pizza only! No breadsticks!

Sam is great, but I really can't say much for the pizza. Doughy crust, sauce just ok, sausage tasteless. Price was great, twelve inch pie for $9. So if I were starving, and broke, would try again.

Travelling through from out of town, not many places open on a Sunday night.I was about to divorce my grumpy angry husband who is on this trip with me, but then he went to Sam's Pizza and came back with a huge smile on his face, chuckling, because he loved his conversation with Sam. It cheered him up immensely and I got to see the person I married Apparently Sam has quite the sense of humor! And the pizza was DELICIOUS! I regret not going to pick up the pizza to meet Sam. Sounds like he is a legend around here, and I bet his pizza is too! Thanks Sam, for saving me money for a divorce attorney, saving my marriage, and providing an amazing dinner!

I called in an order and asking if they take card. They said they take anything. I went in and they said they only took cash and thought i was joking. Had to go to the bank to get cash out.

So glad my husband and I stopped here on the way through town. My husband had been here over 20 years ago and remembered it being great then. Sam is kind, menu is simple, the flavor is amazing. You leave and think he should be charging more!!! This place is just what the world needs right now ❤️. Happy Easter

I found Sam's because it was halfway between my kids and my home. We wanted to get together for my birthday. Sam's looked like a hidden gem. We ordered, hung out, waited over 2 hours and finally left and went to the root beer place down the street. My grandkids had school the next day and we each had a two hour drive home. Sam is one little old man (75+?) doing what he loves. I'm not sure if he knows how low his prices are but I feel he is being taken advantage of. The number of people that came and went while we were there was unbelievable. Sam is one guy, no other help, no clear communication. Kept saying "UPS, happy Easter, computer not working, whatever." Make sure you have time to wait. I did not have any pizza but the experience was interesting.

This is one of those town favorites, great pizza, Sam's hard working one man show. And everyone keeps coming back for a reason. If they phone isn't going through, just order in person Sam sometimes gets too busy to attend calls.

Sam' Pizza. Local pizza spot for locals. If I had to explain you wouldn't understand.
