Unfortunately, we weren’t able to go out to eat on my husband’s birthday due to his work schedule. We called ahead of time asking if they would still honor their Birthday discount even though his birthday was yesterday… we were told yes as long as he showed his ID. We dined in at Jiang Niu and even though he presented his ID proving his birthday was yesterday they would not honor what they said they would prior. The staff was completely unapologetic, refusing to let us speak with a manager. Claiming a manager is never around. It’s a shame we will not be returning to Jiang Niu.

Me and my friends will come here every so often and enjoy ourselves. I believe the strength of this kind of restaurant is from going in groups and cooking and talking. The decoration inside does work, but there'sn't anyone specific thing it has going for it. Will still be back

I came here during a weekday, so it wasn’t too crowded, but the food was pretty good. The waitress was friendly and attentive. The grilled dishes were tasty, and the complimentary cold appetizers were notbad either.
I especially enjoyed the grilled trumpet mushrooms and roasted lamb leg. Although the grilled squid was presented in a very cool way, the flavor didn’t quite live up to its presentation. Overall, the taste was good and we ordered their takeout for lunch on the second day, which was not bad either.

New place close to home, figured we try it. Finally a good Chinese food place close. The lunch happy hour is perfect for $10.50. Soup, egg roll, and entree. It's alot of food. They have the robots that bring your food to you also. They also have AYCE where you cook it yourself at the table.

We have tried this restaurant 3 times. The first time we really liked it and told our kids how good it was. Our kids got us a gift certificate as a gift. We used it once and had enough leftover for another meal out. Last night we used it. We were told they no longer offered the Chinese menu. We could order the all you can eat cook your own or a limited cooked selection. After the meal I gave them the gift card and they insisted that we could not use it at this restaurant. I showed them the receipt showing it was purchased at the Orland Park restaurant and also the receipt from last time showing we had more than enough to pay for our meal. We were left at the table waiting at least 20 minutes with no communication about what was going on. Eventually I hunted down our waitress and she said they were calling the owner. In the end our gift certificate was accepted, but we will never go back again because of how poorly we were treated by the staff. My son also has a gift certificate he got from his sister and I told him he better use his gift certificate before this restaurant goes out of business.

Great customer service! Everyone was so nice and kind and made me and my friends experience amazing! To top that, the food was absolutely great! Go on the weekend to run into Lavin. Lavin is a great person and worker. He showed nothing but kindness to me and my friends. Also, with giving great advice. He was hilarious and naturally funny making my friends and I laugh the entire time. This place is great to go to! Bring your friends and family!!

I called the restaurant to ask what time they stopped taking walk-ins for dine-in, as we only had a party for two. Not sure if they couldn’t hear me or didn’t understand my question, but I spoke with two different people and didn’t still get a straight answer. We arrive at 8:10pm, and they said they only do carry-out after 8pm. Very disappointed since it was my birthday and we weren’t accommodated for the inconvenience.

Please don’t expect Korean restaurants.
This is not an KOREAN restaurant.
Chinese restaurants which is inspired by korean bbq.
Total difference.

Lunch special is wonderful! Despite it being a grill place the Mongolian chicken is spot on. Definitely worth exploring the rest of the menu and specials!

We tried Jiang Niu BBQ twice in the past couple of months. I had a bento box with Garlic Beef and Chicken with Broccoli. A few weeks latter we returned for the Korean BBQ. There is the all you can eat option for $37 per person; thes is an option if you want to try a number of options. You are allowed to order two items per person at a time; ifyou have a group of 6 people you could get a good sampling of items on the menu. We had three people and chose to try the Meat Cake (Beef Navel and Marinated Beef Strips) @$38, a sizzling calamari side, and an order of chicken fried rice. This was more than enough for three people and saved us over $20. This is a great date restaurant but not for families with little kids as the cooking unit is in the middle of the table.

Kid-friendliness: There is an open gas grill in the center of the table. It gets very hot.

great place for family date work or dinner. my fav was black peppered beef rib strip and the marinated LA bone in beef ribs. chicken breast were great spicy spinach peanut salad was delicious and my son had 4 orders of garlic beef slices. took a bit for our drinks that arent included to come. cant order ala carte and ayce (my wife is Gf) and not many choices here for that allergy. service was attentive. the 2nd 3rd and 4th round came out quickly. you are only allowed 1 desert per person. smore was AWESOME and they kept turning our heat down bc smoke from the garlic steak slices. 3 people 1 hr and we were full. the sauce is spicy the seasame oil was gross(my preference) and soy was amazing.

If you have more than two people, it takes too long to cook the food.
