“We go here quite often in the summer. We live near Chicago but spend many weekends in Ottawa for the river and friends. I actually dream about the Buffalo chicken dip at captains cove during the drive down. It’s often our first stop after we drop the dogs at the boat. It is the best BCD I’ve ever had. Sometimes it’s sold out by the time we get there, it’s THAT good! They have great deals on drinks and the rest of the menu is really yummy. The bartenders are awesome, we have ended up getting to know the family that owns the place and they’re all so kind and love being able to serve delicious food and beverages to their friends and customers. We truly love captains cove and look forward to many more years of great buff chicken dip and giggles!“
“Love a great hidden gem, you walk in thinking it's a dive bar ,but think again! This place is way classier than menu and appearance. The menu has expanded, the outdoor area has expanded and not to mention how nice the server/bartender was as well as inviting, I'm fortunate to be able to order lunch from here often cuz it's so affordable I don't think I can go to fast food for the same price. “Everything from the fried mushrooms to the bluegill dinner was awesome. Our waiter/bartender was super attentive and nice. Not one complaint!!! A nice place hidden in Wedron, with great prices and great food. Glad we passed The Office and went here.“
“Ordered a blue cheese burger, no bun with garden on the side. Perfect. Food is better than average for a sports bar. Suggestions APPEAR to be taken seriously. Skakers appears to be getting better with the food/service. Only one BIG problem to the families who bring in small children. KEEP THEM ON A LEASH. I'm tired of going to restaurants and sports bars with kids running all over, and there scumbag parents think this is acceptable. The workers won't, I mean can't say anything for fear of a KAREN/DAREN coming unhinged.“
“Wow the food was excellent. Myself and a friend are always on the prowl for wonderful fried chicken. This place ranks in the top spot right now. We traveled 60 miles to give it a try and we’re not disappointed. Salad bar was a wide variety of excellent choices. Soup was delicious but very hot. My fault for digging right in. Loved everything. Our waitress was also amazing and accommodating.“
