Bluegill Boathouse & Marina Bar

Went in today excited to try Bluegill. Stood and waited and waited to be seated. A patron at the bar told us she was the only person working. Ok, no big deal, we were patient as she walked past us several more times without even acknowledging we were there. Guess we will never know. Very disappointing.

Stopped in to try it out and was very pleasantly surprised. Food was fresh, well-prepared, and creative. The dessert was unexpectedly great, and the server Lorenzo was attentive, friendly, and professional. I hope we're able to get a seat once the boating season begins!

Bluegill has been closed the last week and just reopened under a new general manager. The menu has been completely revamped and is fish and seafood forward. I had a Cobb salad and my daughter had Scottish Salmon with pumpkin risotto. Both were excellent. Bruschetta for an appetizer and cheesecake for desert did not disappoint!

What a turnaround!! Ate at Bluegill a couple times when they first opened, wasn’t impressed. This time, completely different! First, the food was absolutely delicious. I had the Chicken Philly and my friend had the Lobster Roll. Both dishes were flavorful and presented very well. And the fries… oh my gosh the hand cut fries were perfection! The service was top notch. Even the executive chef came to our table to make sure we were satisfied. Everyone in there was very friendly. Overall a very good experience and we will most definitely be going back!

The new menu is fantastic. Give this place a try. Delicious and great service. The refresh was worth the wait.

Had dinner tonight and watched the World Series with my husband. Felicia was our bar tender/server and she was amazing. Felt right at home. Food was great! If you have not been here, you need to go. They are now open Wednesday through Sunday.

We had a fairly large group that came in for dinner. No one was seating anyone so we had to get our own table and menus. Our bartender was also the server who was very nice however he was very overwhelmed and was also not a bartender. There appeared to be only one cook as well. 3 of us ordered the steak house Alfredo. I can’t give it any stars at all. I added salt and pepper hoping to add flavor but there is no way to make it taste good. Definitely was not Alfredo by any means. Our server admitted it isn’t homemade. The steak was very thin, was ice cold and zero flavor as well. I honestly could not eat it and sent it back. It was taken off the bill. The other 2 ate theirs because they were so hungry and didn’t want to wait for something else. My husband ordered the tenderloin cordon blue with fries. He ate a little less than half of the sandwich and wasn’t impressed. Neither of us could eat the fries. I can’t explain what was wrong with the fries that made them taste so bad. Maybe the oil they were cooked in. I tried some of the pork tenderloin and it wasn’t awful but was more edible than my pasta. Another friend ordered chili cheese fries that he had to send back to warm up because they were ice cold. Even the shredded cheese on top wasn’t even melted. We won’t be back for food again unless they find staff and find someone who can cook. Such a let down. Red dog food was so much better. Eat at your own risk there.

Worst food I have ever had!!! do not go here they are going to make someone sick. I was visibly disgusted, and didn’t touch my food after the first bite, but they didn’t care still charged me way too much for cheap food I didn’t even take home. On my way to McDonalds it’s way better sadly.

Maybe it was an off night but the Shrimp
Tacos and Catfish Fish and Chips were awful.

Tacos were cold, the tortillas were hard and the coleslaw had an off flavor.

The cocktails were pretty bad too.

This place has the worst service accompanied by bad attitudes
and for dessert terrible food. The general manager there can care less if your are spending money. We gave it multiple chances and nothing has changed if anything it has gotten worse
It feels like they are trying to fail.

The Italian beef sandwich was very good, not a Chicago Style Italian Beef, but very tasty. Bartender was attentive and offered suggestions for beer to pair w the sandwich. It was very muggy in the restaurant, actually uncomfortable.
