Pretty easy to find and very scenic

The food is great! Our server was incredibly kind & helpful. The atmosphere is welcoming and comfortable. My husband and I will travel to Michigan every couple of months and always stop here for lunch.

Dockside Bar and Grill offers a beautiful river view and a friendly staff, especially Mike the bar manager. The location features multi-level outdoor patios on the water, making it a great spot for people watching and relaxing by the river. The deck and tables at the window provide excellent views. The restaurant serves good, solid food with larger portions, including the fish sandwich, and the service is quick, especially when it is not busy. They have mooring for boats, picnic tables, and plenty of parking, making it a convenient place to visit. The atmosphere is enjoyable, and it is dog-friendly and kid-friendly. The outdoor patios are perfect for relaxing, though there are several stairs with one patio at ground level. The restaurant is known for its killer onion rings and offers a fun, lively environment. It closes October 27th for fall. However, some reviews mention that the bathroom may sometimes be unclean, and inside toilets might be difficult to access for those with bad hips or knees, though a handicapped portopotty is available. Overall, it provides a good dining experience with a lovely river setting.
