It's all about the decor, warm atmosphere and overall Gilmore Girl coziness. Most of the energy goes into that. It might do for coffee and cake, but refrain from ordering more "challenging" menu items such as the Banana Nutella pancake. $ 10 for what I truly believe to have been a toaster waffle. Never had to chew a piece of waffle so hard. That only happens when you let it lay out on the counter too long. It's a single rectangular waffle. Perhaps it's supposed to double as chewy toast.
The place is cute, nothing more.

I had an incredibly relaxing experience at this cozy coffee shop. The atmosphere was amazing—beautiful art, charming decorations, and attention to detail made it feel so inviting. There was live guitar music, which added a peaceful vibe to the space. The food was absolutely delicious, and their cappuccino was wonderful. Definitely a great spot to unwind and enjoy some great coffee and company!

I recently visited a charming Nelikona coffee place in downtown Palatine. The rose 🌹 coffee was delicious. I loved that it was served in gorgeous tea cups, adding a unique touch to the experience. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, making it a perfect spot for gatherings or meetings. The staff were incredibly friendly, which enhanced the welcoming vibe. I absolutely LOVE NELIKONA! The ambiance, food, and staff are all amazing—truly top-notch. The owners are fantastic hosts, making it a standout spot in downtown Palatine. It’s a woman-owned café where you can work comfortably or bring your kids to enjoy the dedicated kids' corner. Highly recommended!
