Nicolette Café in downtown Palatine is a hidden gem! The Dubai coffee is rich and flavorful, and the crêpes are absolutely delicious. The setup is cozy with a modern touch, making it a perfect spot to relax and enjoy. Definitely worth a visit!

Got a raspberry and Nutella crepe this morning and it was absolutely delicious. The raspberries were fresh, the crepe was made to order, it was warm and soft and had the perfect amount of Nutella on it. I think the girl working was alone in the kitchen, I felt kind of bad about that, but the food was worth the wait. Also the tea comes in a cute teapot and I liked it

Everything just looks nice and tastes good

A beautiful afternoon experience with outdoor seating. (Inside seating and atmosphere is also amazing.) Anything from the Dubai latte to an iced latte to hot tea is delicious. We have tried paninis, pastries and much more. All of it has been great. 😊
Once you place your order, just sit down and relax. They serve you. It’s not self-serve like other cafes or coffee shops.
The atmosphere is warm, friendly and peaceful. Some other places in other towns are so hectic, you can’t relax or even hear each other. This place has a chill Euro vibe.
I waited until we had multiple visits here to make sure our first visit was not just a lucky one. It’s been great everytime!

Great sandwich. Definitely worth the try

Hi everyone. I recommend 100% Nicolette Cafe. I went there 5 times and everything is great. I usually order Americano no strong and the flavor and aroma are amazing. The decorations are beautiful and they have interesting books.

I ordered a black iced tea and a GF cookie on a hot day. They asked if I wanted my cookie warmed-up, which I declined. The cookie was cold (stored in refrigerator) and tasteless. And, the black tea had a hint of sweetness. I likely would not have posted this, but it cost me $10 plus some change for a disappointing experience. And, it seems the owner has responded. I might ask you who refrigerates baked goods?!?! And, that attitude speaks volumes. I’ll do my best to never recommend this place.

Boba was really bad, hard and artificial tasking. Smoothie was a simple blended ice with artificial flavor, no fruit. My kids didn’t like it, won’t be back.

Our first experience was average at best. The Good: Chic space. Uncramped with comfy couches, coffee tables and mix of large/small tables throughout. Nice menu.
The Meh: Food, Drink and service. Avocado toast tasted basic and bland. Avocado shmeared with bits of arugula and a single cherry tomato split 4 ways for 2 orders of Avo Toast was a little sad. The poached egg ordered was fine for half of 1 order and egg was almost over hard - not quite poached. Ordered a latte for dine-in, but received my $9 Iced Dubai Latte in a plastic cup. Matcha latte was not recommended and Dubai Latte was overpriced for what was iced coffee poured into a green colored cup. Most likely this would have been tasty if served hot where the pistachio-chocolate sauce that lined the cup was able to melt or blend in any way into the drink. Service was slow. While not super busy, our relatively simple order took over 20 minutes.
Was not impressed but maybe it just wasnt the thing to order. Will return to try anything else as the menu seems fairly extensive.
