Photo's Hotdogs Reviews
My God. In a world where people are chins on food, I opened up my chicken pita and found an explosion of delicious seasoned chicken. It was plenty full in fact I had to use a fork to finish it. I couldn’t believe how tender it was and how friendly the service was. A real tree to find a restaurant that still cared.
Our family has always loved everything we've had from Photos, excellent quality, sooo tasty, and their menu is HUGE!
I recently had my gallbladder removed, so I have been on a restricted diet for the past 4 months, and really struggle finding food I can eat at restaurants...until I discovered the chicken pita from Photos! It's an excellent low fat option, (2 for 1 on Sundays), and still tastes like you are eating a cheat meal! The chicken is to die for, and that tzatziki...read full review

Photo's Hotdogs is a Palatine classic known for its popular food, though the prices can be high. While the fries are tasty, they are not particularly unique. The Macaroni and Cheese Bowl is not recommended, as it is simply macaroni and cheese in a bowl for $9. The restaurant offers a range of dietary options, including a chicken teriyaki bowl, but may not be suitable for strict keto diets. The atmosphere is highly praised, with classic photography lining the walls and a lineup of shakes that keep customers coming back. Many customers have enjoyed the grilled chicken sandwiches, BOGO chicken pita wraps, and hot dogs, often receiving coupons for free hot dogs or fish tacos. The place also offers a solid Med salad and cheese curds, with good sides and burgers that are average but affordable. Customers love the chili, which keeps bringing them back, and appreciate the kindness of the staff and managers, even for those with special needs. Visitors often leave with tickets for free hot dogs or fish tacos and enjoy the old school Chicago vibe. The restaurant also sells bags of ice, with a 4lb bag costing only $1, perfect for coolers. The hot dogs are good but not great, and fries can sometimes be soggy or bland. The staff is friendly and accommodating, making the experience enjoyable. The restaurant is in good condition, and the owner and GM are praised for their kindness. Despite sometimes long lines during busy times, customers find the service fast and friendly, especially if they visit for lunch or inside. Overall, Photo's Hotdogs remains a popular spot for those seeking good food and a nostalgic atmosphere.
