Hong Min Restaurant Reviews
This is THE best Chinese restaurant in the country! When it was in Chinatown. The only place our family growing up would go when we ventured down there. Sure... part of it was my parents knew the owners. But the food... WOW. Have been all over this country... NY, SFO, SoCal, TX, Marietta, Seattle, etc etc. Nothing has come close. They weren't as good in burbs but still had the taste. Now just read the owners are retiring... So sad (but happy for them). Thank you for the memories......read full review
Hong Min... GETS ALL THE STARS. A staple in my family for decades.... this restaurant was the Southside's answer to not drive to Chinatown.. esp weekends as you could order Dim Sum. I'm in town right now... and missed their last day on the 31st... the owners have retired. I don't know what will become of Hong Min... but wanted to write this review before Yelp closes it... The food is amazing... Beef Chow Fun, Seafood Combination, Shrimp Toast, Beef Stew Hot Pot, MaPoTofu.. Salt...read full review
My family and I frequented the original Hong Min in Chinatown, was my favorite Chinese restaurant ( best chow foon with Chinese broccoli). After the Chinatown location burned down, we followed Amy and her team to the burbs. It's been closed now for a couple of months, I hope they're all fine all will re-open. But if Amy is retiring, she deserves to enjoy life. Hong Min has provided great food and enjoyment for her diners for decades. Thank you, hope to see you soon
