Honestly maybe it is sign of the time but not a fan of paying $18 for glorified avocado toast. My bill will $70 for the Burger, the Avocado sandwich and a kids Mac plus drink. Again sign of the times but its just not a thing to paybthese prices. Bill was over 85 with tip. And the worst part is I am still feeling hungry. Smh

I went in hoping to have a nice lunch, but the service was very disappointing. Our waiter was rude throughout the interaction, and at one point even slammed my coffee down, which felt unnecessary and unprofessional.

I politely called the owner to explain the situation and simply asked to switch waiters. Unfortunately, the response I received was dismissive. I was told there was “nothing wrong” and that the waiter wasn’t rude—even though the manager wasn’t present at the table when the incident occurred. Everyone can have a bad day, and I understand that, but good customer service means addressing concerns respectfully.

I wasn’t asking for anything unreasonable—just a different waiter and a pleasant lunch experience. Sadly, that didn’t happen. Overall, poor customer service.

Great venue standard options as well as some unique options.

I had the salmon BLT. I was a little apprehensive but it was a great combination of flavors. My husband had the house burger which he enjoyed.

No parking lot but lots of free street parking.

I’ve come twice for breakfast. On my most recent visit, I got the ricotta scramble and split the cinnamon rolls with my mom. Everything tasted great and the service was quick. I do think the prices are a little high for brunch food, but not outrageous.

Holt’s in Park Ridge brings a fresh take on American comfort food with its standout New Haven-style pizzas that boast a crispy, charred crust and inventive toppings like Italian beef or classic margherita, delivering bold flavors in every slice. The burgers are juicy and customizable, paired well with creative salads or cheese curds that add a satisfying crunch, while the craft cocktail menu offers refreshing twists like a house-infused gin fizz. Though some pizzas could arrive a tad cooler during busy rushes, the quality and portion sizes make it a worthwhile indulgence without overpricing.
The vibe at Holt’s is modern yet cozy, with vintage-inspired decor and an energetic bar scene that’s perfect for casual gatherings or after-work drinks, enhanced by a selection of local beers on tap. Service is friendly and efficient, with staff providing spot-on recommendations, but it can slow slightly on crowded weekends. Overall, this spot earns its four stars as a reliable neighborhood gem for elevated pub fare in the Chicago suburbs.

Holt’s was recommended to me for their amazing grilled cheese and tomato soup entrée. I cannot find the words for how delicious it was! In addition to that, the atmosphere and service were both excellent! And finally, I tried their bloody Mary and that was also outstanding! I will definitely be going back!

Holt's is a okay restaurant/bar. I came strictly for their cheese pizza since they claim they are New Haven style pizza! I had to come check it out. pizza was kinda okay nothing special at all sauce was kinda weak. I wouldn't call that New Haven style. I've been to CT and had pizza. Holts crust and dough falls very short compared to New Haven plus you need the right oven which they don't have. Peace in the city is more closer to CT pizza. Holt's service was really nonexistent. It took forever for a thin crust cheese pizza to come out!(40min) They have bunch of high school kids running around the restaurant running it. I wouldn't go out of my way or wait for a table more than five-ten minutes to sit down at Holt's.

This place has changed dramatically since it opened, especially more recently. We were regulars and even had a party here a few yrs ago, but I no longer go.

First, the portion sizes have gone down drastically on many menu items and the prices have gone up a lot...

the fried chicken sandwich...used to be TWO huge breasts and it came out held together with a steak knife, could never finish it...now its one piece of chicken and a small one at that....similar thing with the salmon sandwich. It used to be much larger....last time i ordered it, the piece of salmon was so small, I literally took it and it was only big enough for 1/2 of the sandwich and there was only 1 piece of bacon on it as well....NOT worth the money.
The burgers... For some reason, every single time I order a burger, they cook it the way they want to, not the way I ordered it and I have to send it back. If I order medium-rare, I don't want a well done burger....and this happened so many times, I literally stopped ordering burgers.
The kicker was the elote pizza. We have ordered that pizza 20+ times over the years...always PACKED with toppings, to the point you could barely pick it up....last time the toppings were sparse at best...hardly any chicken at all. So sad and disappointing.
The final straw was the bar staff last time we were in....we used to love the bar tenders...nice, attentive, etc...last time the person had a massive attitude for no apparent reason...would see we were out of water/drinks and never came to refil or ask if we wanted anything else...had to flag them down, even then took forever to get refils, in fact we asked the dude brining the food out for some water cause it took so long.

I haven't been back in a long time (over a year) because of these issues...so expensive and the portion/quality/service has gone down so drastically, that it's no longer a fun experience to go here any more. Makes me sad.

Pub and restaurant with outdoor patio, bar top, and some large format seating.

Service was quick and both menu and drink selections were pretty good. The chicken sandwich I got was delicious.

Only complaint was how dim the interior lights were, made reading the menu a bit difficult.
