“A party of 13 of us met at Smokin’ Notes BBQ this evening. It was clean, the server was EXCELLENT and the food was top notch! I had the pulled pork and rib tips with macaroni and cheese The flavor was amazing and the pulled pork was so tender. We got onion rings as an appetizer and they were the best large sliced onion rings ever and the crispy batter was YUM! I would highly recommend and we will be back. Thanks for a delicious meal!“

“We went for our first time on Wednesday, and had an awesome experience! I don't remember her name, but we were served by your amazing bartender. She went above and beyond, recommending food, drinks, and obviously enjoyed her job. The food was very good, but she made our date night special, and we'll be back to sit at her bar next time 💚“

“Had the Buffalo Chicken Philly last night. That Bourbon Buffalo Sauce is straight FIRE. The way it combines with the cheese and pulled chicken creates an excellent balance of tangy, Smokey, and creamy flavors that I did NOT want to stop eating. This may be my new favorite sandwich in town. Period. Full stop. Aaron and Crew knocked this one out of the park and then some.“

“Walked in and immediately smelled smoke, not the good kind. It smelled like an ashtray. We ordered fried green tomatoes and they were pretty decent. Then came the 3 meat platter, We had the chicken, pork and brisket. All the meats were pretty dry and had 0 smoke flavor. It reminded me of that store stuff you microwave. Pork was mid. The brisket was off tasting, more like pot roast. The chicken was the worst, no flavor at all and very dry. The baked beans and mashed potatoes were good. Don't know if it was a bad night or what but probly won't be back.“

“I decided to stop by the restaurant because I could smell the food in the mall. It smells so good. I had to try it. I got the pulled chicken, collard greens, macaroni and cheese and let’s not forget the sweet potatoes. The chicken was moist. The collard greens were seasoned the mac & cheese was Fresh warm and cheesy and oh yeah let’s not forget the sweet potatoes brought me back to how my grandma used to make them on Sunday afternoon after church so I would recommend this restaurant five stars.“
“I love the fresh food at Lou's, and also I love how quickly they got my meal to me. They make their own root beer, and it's delicious!“
“No seating. Attempted to give my order to the wait staff, (who I will note wore impeccable whitetail deer outfits, had me fooled at first), but they ran off and we never saw them again.Naming is a little off, no coconuts in central IL. Like to support the local business so I’ll give them a 5 this time.“
